CHAPTER 9

KAI'S POV

"If anythings happen, you can call me or text me." Sir Felix said while he gave me his phone number. Lucky!

"Thank you so much sir!" I said.

"Just you know, inform me okay? I--"

*Knocking*

"Mr. Felix Montaverde?" Mr Ollins came with Ms. Jackie. Mr. Ollins looked at me strangely and confused.

"Sweetheart, the dean already told you to go back to tour class. Why are you still here?" Ms. Jackie said.

"No, no, no I called him here because he missed my class during your conversation with him." Mr. Felix said. I'm saved.

"Very well, we need to talk to you privately Mr. Montaverde." Mr Ollins said. I apologized and excused myself.

When I got out of the faculty, I was about to go to the canteen but I heard a noise that sounded like someone was fighting. When I got closer I saw Layla and our classmate Sheryl fighting and Paul was holding Layla. I immediately ran to them to wean them.

"You're so flirtatious that you're embarrassing yourself! There's so much going on here, and then you're still sl*tting yourself?! B*tch!" Layla shouted at Sheryl.

"Ha! Why are we messing around here? Isn't it because of your gay friend? It's a plague that's why there's so much death happening here! That's your fault! It's a plague! A plague on society!" Sheryl was humiliating me and I sobbed when she said because the words she said hurt.

Paul and Layla pulled me and we heard footsteps and saw the Dean, admin, Mr. Ollin, Ms. Jackie and Sir Felix. They were surprised to see Layla and Sheryl messy and obviously upset. There are also many students who are chimosas and chismosos who complain about the things and problems of others.

"What the hell is going on in here?" The dean said with the angry tone.

"She did it!"Layla/Sheryl said.

Mr. Ollins looked at me and I started to cry more and more. I just run to him and hugged him. Everyone got confused and shocked.

"Ms. Dean, please fix this mess. AND YOU ALL GO BACK TO YOUR CLASSES!" Mr. Ollins shouts.

"Are you all right, son? And what's wrong with you and what did you do?" Ms. Jackie asked.

"Why don't you ask her? She's the one leading the fight. If she hadn't said hurtful things to Kai, I wouldn't have reacted like this." Layra said angrily.

"Sheryl, I just told you everyone to apologize to him." Sir Felix said coldly.

"Why are you blaming me? Can't you see? Look oh, there's something different about this detective and Kai! Maybe these detectives are hiding something and they're conspiring!" Sheryl said and Mr. Ollins' head seemed to be hurting from irritation.

"You know, instead of helping, you're just making the situation worse. It's a simple thing you're making an issue, is that what you learned here? Ms. Dean, is that what you taught them?" Mr. Ollims said angrily. The dean was silent.

"Call her parents. Another word about Kai will make me angry? We're going to have a problem. Do you understand? Last warning." Mr. Ollins said.

"I'm sorry Detective." Sheryl said and she looked at me and apologized.

"I'm so sorry, I'm calling their parents." The dean said.

After the events, all of our parents were in the dean's office. Mom was very angry because of what happened and did not even report to her.

"Mrs. Hillbert calm down." Ms. Jackie said.

We can heard them talking inside the office while the three of us waiting outside. Sheryl are away from us while Paul and Layla stayed beside me.

"I couldn't do anything for you in return. Thank you." I said.

"I told you don't mention it." Layla said.

"Yeah and I'm sorry that I avoid you and also Layla, I was so scared that my family got involved with this email." Paul said.

"Apology accepted." We both said

"Oh speaking of email, here's your phone." Layla said and gave me my phone. I got confused that I have no messages coming from J. Weird.

"So." Layla teased.

"What?" I asked.

"What's between you and the detective?" She said teasing me.

"Geez you're really thinking that?" Paul said.

"What? He's cute even in 40's not bad." Layla said and I laughed.

"No, my dad and him were partners and bestfriends. After daddy died, mr. Ollins become our protector I mean he promised dad that he will take care of us." I said and they nodded.

"Then how about the cctv? Mr. Felix said that there was someone that the last person seen those three before they died." Layla said.

"Oh, Mr. Ollins and Ms. Jackie saw a man and I guess the last person who interact with them and they even saw his motorcycle but there's no plate number. They said it might be someone here at campus." I said and they were look frigthen.

"Holy sh*t so it means someone here at school?! Like maybe students? teachers? Janitors?" Paul asked and I nodded.

"Still investigating but I think my part is already done so--"

*Door's open* We got all stand up

"Mrs. Hillbert, calm down, you can't blame the child for being scared and acting like that, but can we go through it first with a proper plea and conversation?" Dean asked mom and mom was upset with what dean said.

"Please Mrs. Hillbert, please forgive my daughter! My daughter didn't do it on purpose because she was just scared because they received a threat that's why she reacted like that." Sheryl's mother begged.

Mom sighed.

"You know what hurts me as Kai's mother? Being told that he's a plague here and gay, you know what's worse? When you blame my son for the death of the three. That's what I can't accept, especially now that I found out about it talking about my son here. You are lucky Mrs. Coriños, you've still your husband and Sheryl's still have a father figure if my husband was here, do you think he's forgiving you? No because you hurt his child." Mom said and I was about to cry but Layla calmed me down.

"Mrs. Hillbert--" Mr. Ollins cuts his words.

"Thank you, I hope you'll stay by my son's side. Thank you for defending him and I owe you so much." Mom thanking Layla and Paul.

"We're going home."
