Getting to Know Valerie
Last January, when we were preparing for our annual ski vacation, my husband Tom suggested that we invite the Johnsons along for the trip. Bill Johnson had begun working at Tom’s company six months before, and the two of them got along very well. Bill and his wife, Valerie, had been over for dinner several times, and we always had fun as a group. Like us, they were both in their late 30s, but they seemed to have aged much better; they looked more like a couple in their mid-20s.
Valerie was especially beautiful. Tall, slender, with long black hair and deep violet eyes, she was stunning enough to be a fashion model. She didn’t work, and spent a lot of time at a local gym, which I suppose is how she kept her gorgeous physique and kept herself looking a decade younger
