It had been two weeks since that incident, since a woman waltzed into my life, had her way with me, and disappeared, bearing my mark. I now frequently visited the woods where it had all happened. Liam thought I had gone mad or suffered some sort of trauma from the accident.
I could tell that he didn't believe me. He thought I was hallucinating and bringing up a woman that only existed in my imagination. But he couldn't say it to my face. He just went around ordering the men to keep searching, worry etched on his brows. I overheard him talking to the healer to prescribe some herbs that would fix my hallucinating problem, but I had walked in on them before the healer could respond.
