s**t! Of all the days to oversleep! Lauren couldn't scold herself enough. She was rushed into the company with a hot cup of coffee and a doughnut as she had skipped breakfast since there was no time for it.
As if oversleeping wasn't enough, she was caught in a traffic jam and that delayed her even further. She was no longer the "untouchable Lauren" and nothing could be overlooked. Not like it was before, but it felt as though everyone was just waiting to pick on her.
She noticed an elevator closing and she rushed there, hoping to stop it just in time. As she was about to squeeze her body in, someone grabbed her hand, holding her back.
Once her eyes settled on Leo's face, Lauren was taking a step back, looking around them to make sure they weren't drawing any attention to themselves.
