"Kitten you alright?" Jason said, I was trembling in his arms, still on the couch though.
"Yes, just had a bad nightmare" I lied. I hoped it was a nightmare. Jason's phone buzzed.
"My loser brother says he wants to come over today, do you mind?" Jason said.
"Not at all" I said quickly trying to act non-suspicious.I looked over his shoulder.
Matt: Can I come over at six, for dinner I need to have a chat.
Jason: Alright, don't bother Kassidy though, OK? She's very stressed out and had a traumatizing nightmare today.
Matt: Oh really?
I gulped. I looked at my empty plate.
"I'm going to go wash some dishes" I said, taking my plate away. Ezma was whistling cheerfully, Matt's words took control of my head.
"ALL HE HAS DONE IS FORCEFULLY PUSH YOU! KISS YOU! AND MARK YOU! SO NOW ITS MY TURN TO PLAY UNFAIR!!! I'M COMING OVER TOMORROW AND TRUST ME ITS GOING TO BE FUN!!!" The words rang in my head. I noticed I had washed all the dishes and was scared to have a nap in fear that Matt would show up again. Jason said he was going out. I trembled I didn't want to be alone.
"How long are you going to be?" I said shivering.
"Not to long Kitten, don't worry" he said.
"I'll be with you anyway! You won't get too bored!"Ezma laughed. I kissed Jason quickly as he ran out the door.
"Come on let's make the dinner, got to impress the guests!“She chuckled. As I chopped up the peppers, I stared at the clock gripping my heart. Hours had already passed by. 5 o' clock. I gulped.
Ring. Ring.
"That must be Jason" Ezma said smiling. She opened the door. Whilst Jason waited patiently.
"Hey Ezma," he said making his way in. He looked at me and smiled.
"Matt says he's coming over" he said. I closed my eyes, willing that he wouldn't show up. Jason turned on the TV and lounged around for half an hour. A car sped down the driveway of the grand pack house.
Ring. Ring. I felt like screaming. I heard footsteps and Ezma went to the door. She unlocked the door.
"Hey, bro!" Matt said lamely. He smirked in my direction taking his coat off and wrapping it around the dining table with swag.
"Oh, you're here" Jason groaned. Ezma placed the pasta and meatball dinner on the table.
"It's so nice to have some family together" Ezma spoke. Oh, she was so wrong!
Jason P.O.V
I sat down at the table next to my stupid brother. I scraped around the edges of my bowl noticing that Kassidy was shaking. I didn't pay much attention to her, I had to look stronger than my pathetic brother. He was oddly smirking at Kassidy which made me frown.
"Well I'm all done and I'm going to head upstairs to get some rest, I'll be back down in a minute" Kassidy said. I nodded. She walked up the stairs. Odd.
"I'm going to get some.... air I will be back in a minute." Matt said. Weirdo. He walked out slamming the door. I'm sure he called Kassidy’s name.
"Ezma, did he just call Kassidy’s name?" I said.
"No, I don't think so" she said scooping up some pasta. All in my head I guess. I continued eating as Ezma chatted away to me. I wasn't paying much attention but nodded and said ‘yes’ every minute or so.Suddenly I heard a crash of something smashing.
"Sorry Jason I tripped over the lamp" Matt laughed.Bastard. I heard I bang and a muffled scream from upstairs. I threw open the door and ran up Ezma following close behind. I reached Kassidy’s room and smelt Matt's scent. I growled. I pushed the door wide open. Kassidy was on the floor panting; screaming. I raged. The bathroom door was locked.
"What happened?!!?" I yelled at Kassidy trying not to hurt her.
"He tried to r...ra.... rape me!!!" She squealed.
I roared shifting and mauling at the bathroom door. Ezma helped Kassidy to her feet.
"Come on Darling let's get out of here!" She said quickly, running out of the room with Kassidy.
Ezma P.O.V
I grabbed Kassidy and pushed her out the room, Jason knocked the bathroom door down roaring as Matt wasn't in the bathroom. Jason flew out the room growling at the top of his lungs.
"I AM GOING TO KILL YOU!!!!!" Jason raged. I ran downstairs with Kassidy, sitting her down on a couch, she was breathing heavily and looked like she had an extreme panic attack.
"Drink this in small sips" I said whilst she screamed. She took the plastic cup, sipping it nearly choking as tears streamed down her tired face. I wrapped a blanket around her tightly and said:
"Don't worry he's gone now, shush it's going to be fine" I chanted that a couple of times holding her carefully. She cried and cried as Jason practically turned up the whole house looking for Matt.
"He's not here he left." I said.
"Oh, really?" Matt was standing in the kitchen. Jason charged at him, but Matt swiftly moved out the way avoiding every bite and claw.
"I think we both know who she deserves" Matt began dodging Jason's claws.
"So, if you still don't believe me? That I deserve her. Why don't we have a dual? Head to head fight........to the death" Matt smirked.
"This is going to be fun" Jason said.
"No! don't hurt each other!" Kassidy bravely said.
"Are you stupid she-wolf!!! I'm going to save your life!!!" Jason roared.
"I HAVE TO LIVE MY LIFE IN PAIN CONSTANTLY, DAY AFTER DAY!!!" Kassidy yelled, and she ran, shifting.
Kassidy P.O.V
I ran. Feeling my legs pump. Faster and faster and faster and faster. Boom. I hit off the ground with enormous speed. Running and running. Not caring. I was going to get away. I didn't care where. I ran further.Leaving the American countryside. Now entering the wild. My fur stroked against the trees running at high speed. My eyes flashing gold, filling up with energy.Pushing my body to its limits running faster than I did in the Chase. Faster and faster. Speeding up. Reaching hills jumping over them heroically. I didn't care anymore. I was a lone wolf. Free.
I didn't know where to run. I just had to. I ran for days. I heard a rumble from a nearby bush. My ears pricked up. A doe was feeding her calf. I ran up to them. She aimed a kick at me. I caught her leg with my teeth piercing her weak skin. She aimed another kick whining in pain. I swiftly dodged her ducking underneath and going for the throat. Her flesh filled my mouth adrenaline rushing through me like a train. Her blood was a beacon of life. Her lifeless body hung from my mouth. I took out the cub its fragile neck breaking under the pressure of my strong jaw. I licked my lips feasting. Blood dripped from my nose covering my face consuming my body. I chucked the bones behind me. I ran off again. Leaving only some hide and bones left. I shifted climbing a tree to see what was surrounding me. I was naked, but I didn't care no one was around. I howled. Leaping down from the tree, shifting. In the far distance I noticed smoke. It was only a small amount but enough to make me curious. I slowly traveled towards it the sharp blades of grass slicing my paws. As I ventured towards it the smell flew up my nostrils. A small cottage came into sight and my curiosity got the best of me. I looked through the dusty window to see the amazing sight of Jade pouring soup into a bowl next to Yvi. I looked in disbelief. I knocked on the window.
"Jade its Kassidy open up" I said. She squinted her eyes confused. She opens the door and hurried me in.
"Why are you here?" I said.
"Well Jason kicked us out, so we came back to Yvi's home, but his parents left so we're staying here looking after the house" Jade said serving me a bowl.
"No thanks, I just caught a deer, calf and all" I licked my lips. " I'm running from Jason and his brother, I don't belong there" I explained.
"Yes, you do! Stay with us, we can run and hide if we need to! Yvi's okay now and I'm sure he'll come!" Jade encouraged.
"Yea, you’re not safe on your own stick with us" Yvi said.
"No, they will come after you, I don't want you guys risking your lives for me" I said.
"Trust me we will be okay! We can beat up those punks anyway!" Jade laughed I shook my head. "No, seriously! I know how to fight! They won't find us, and we can live of the forest!" She said with a piercing look. I dragged my hand across my face lamely.
"Alright you can tag along but be careful; Matt and Jason will have their whole pack after me. I swiped some of the strongest berry-wiring in the world, I'm invisible" I said holding a bottle of the stuff on a chain around my neck. "Now let's leave!" I said loudly, grabbing Jades hand.
"Let us pack, we will need a car Kass we can't run all the way," she said, quickly stuffing a few items into her bag.
"Very well we can steal one from the village" I said not caring much.
"Not happening I wouldn't steal to save my own life!"Yvi said.
"Don't worry I'll do the stealing" I said. Jade and Yvi began packing two suitcases with their phones spare clothes and photos. As Jade stuffed some photos in her bag I saw a cute photo of me and her at the beach. It was her 12th birthday when the photo was taken. I smiled. They were grabbing stuff of shelves and throwing it into their suitcases. One for Yvi,One for Jade. When they were finished they zipped the bags up and went in for a group hug.
"We can't stay in America now, we have to move." I said sadly. "Somewhere they'd never look" I continued. Jade clapped.
"We can take a plane!" She squealed, both acting like 6-year-olds rather than 16-year olds. Yvi shook his head laughing. As we high fives I quickly opened the door and pushed them out.
"Let's go" I said. We advanced towards the open plains and trudged through the grass. We were near a small town and two minutes of walking quickly paid off awarding us with a decent looking jeep.
"Bingo!" I said smiling.
"Where are we going to go?" Yvi asked.
"The airport of course we'll get a flight to somewhere." I said.
"How are we going to get in the car?" Jade asked frowning. I looked to my left. An old house was sitting next to the car.
"Wait here" I said grinning. I crouched down creeping towards the house. A middle-aged man appeared to be outside cooking something on a barbecue. The front door was slightly open. I slowly open the door further, noticing a small child doodling in a book on the kitchen floor they didn't see me or pay much attention as I eased the car keys of the hook on a shelf.
"Hey you aren't mummy!" They yelled.
"Bambi are you okay?" Someone called. I began to run.
"There’s a funny lady in the kitchen!" Bambi said. Iran out. I unlocked the door as I heard several shouts.
"Get in the f****** car right the f*** now!" I said to Jade and Yvi. They jumped in me getting in the front with Jade and Yvi in the back. The middle age man shot at us again and again until his voice was distant. I swerved across the road dodging and weaving past traffic. Speeding past red lights, giving only a slight glance at the GPS for directions to the airport. Suddenly the squealing of wheels behind us could be heard and loud cussing. Behind us was the man from the house.
"Jade take this" I said passing her my pistol.
"What am I supposed to do with that?!?!" Jade said.
"Shoot at 'em" I said. I threw one to Yvi. I put the window slightly down, so they could shoot out. Yvi reluctantly took the gun of the leather seat aiming towards the car behind us. Yvi yelled out in pain as a bullet shot past his ear slightly grazing it and piercing through my head rest. The bullet poked through as I shifted my head to the side. They had injured Yvi and nearly killed me. I growled, as Jade pulled the trigger shooting through the windscreen of the man’s other car he squealed in pain as the bullet shot straight through his hand. I drove faster as he pulled over. Pedal to the floor. I drove up to the front door of the airport. The automatic doors slid open, but I didn't care. I grabbed them forcing them open. A tired looking young man was at the counter, running his hands through his hair. His name badge read Owen but out of carelessness it was upside down and read Nemo.
"Hello.......Nemo" I said. He didn't say anything but simply nodded.
"What can I help you with?" Owen said in a monotone-voice.
"We need a flight" Yvi said.
"Where to?" Owen questions us, not bothering to change the tone of his voice.
"Anywhere! Anywhere away from here! Whichever flights leaving the soonest!" I shouted attracting some attention from several groups of people. I bent forwards.
"Anywhere" I whispered, growling. He looked at me startled before typing something into his desk computer.
"Japan" he said.
"What?!?!" Jade said.
"Japan. There's a flight to Japan in ten minutes, quickly please let me weigh your bags." He said agitated.
"Well I guess we have no choice" I said. "We'll take 2nd class please" I continued, handing over the little money I had.
"This isn't enough for even 3rd class Miss it's nearly enough to get a dog on the flight." He mocked. I growled. Jade tapped my shoulder to get my attention.
"Yvi's grandmother gave her life savings to Yvi, there's$10,000 in this suitcase" she explained.
"We'll take 3rd class please" Jade quickly unzipped the bag taking out what looked like $200. Owen shook his head.
"Very well" he typed more into his computer, this time printing out three tickets. We grabbed them out of his hand and ran. We ran down the airport to Japan Airlines. Giving them our bags. We swiftly avoided other travelers, making our way to Terminal 7. With 6 minutes to spare. We all rushed to the shops, quickly taking a few items off the shelves and handing the money over the counter. I changed our dollars into yens. With a sudden BEEP a large panel hanging from the wall spitted out the words:
"Flight to Japan. Flight to Japan. Boarding now." It spoke.
"That's us!" I squealed quickly, I pushed Jade forward and Yvi followed us lugging Jades handbag and my gun secretly hidden in my jacket. We trudged on to the plane, excited but nervous at the same time. Japan was a foreign country, I had never visited it before and this was going to be interesting. A stewardess showed us to our seats at the back of the plane. Jade plugged her headphones in and sang along to music whilst Yvi trembled and clutched the arm chairs of his seat, swearing and staring straight forward.
"You okay?" I said giving him a poke.
"Fine, I've never flown before" he said gulping down his nerves.
"It's not too bad" I said. I was going to continue but the Captain spoke through his microphone.
"Hello there! I am your Captain for this flight, Captain D.Lamar, if you could all listen to the safety sequence our crew will now show you... Thank you remember your flying Air Japan" he said. I rolled my eyes at that last part. The crew did their safety performance and scuttled off to their seats in the control box. Suddenly the plane rocketed forwards, and the whirring of the controls rang in my head as Yvi scrunched up his face closing his eyes tightly. As the plane taxied up the runway and the speed increased the clouds parted allowing a clear view into the sky.
