We sat in the cells talking to each other, reminiscing over childhood memories. I knew what Adan was trying to do. He was trying to distract me. It was sweet of him to know that in his last moments, he only thought of me. Part of me also believed that he wanted me to remember him and never forget him. I’d been searching for a way out of here since they placed us in here last night, but the cells were locked down pretty well. There wasn’t even a break in light anywhere through the bricks.
