Dorian sent Caden in to check on me a few minutes after he left. I could tell by his face that Dorian had said something unsettling to him, but I didn’t know what. I wanted to press him for information but I’m not sure that I wanted to know the answer. Yes, I just met Dorian, but it was scary to see that side of him since all I’ve seen is this caring, loving person. Once Caden checked out my wound in silence, he grabbed what I presumed to be a chair up next to the bed. “I’m sorry that you had to witness Dorian in that state. He is so upset with himself for letting things get out of hand.
