3 June 7 - Wednesday Dear Diary, Ok, it’s really hot here. Like really, really hot. I thought it got hot in the summertime in Des Moines, but that ain’t nothing! I never thought I’d ever feel anything hotter than a corn field in August, but then I got to Africa. I don’t know how people live here. It's so hot. My skin is all flushed and I’m breaking out with a weird rash. I think it’s from the little tiny pillow the stewardess gave me on the plane. It was scratchy. Now I look all red and rashy. Yuck! But I AM IN AFRICA NOW! I can’t believe it. Everyone is so friendly and it's so busy here. I met Matthew and Sarah. They are my host family in the city.
