I hadn't really expected to see Alpha Walker again before he got back, but it was still agonizing to wait. I wished that I had some idea of what was going on, but Alpha Walker and Isadora had not been sure what was going to happen. They had no plan of action, no idea what to do when they got to the Crimson-Eye Pack, and their only advantage was the fact that nobody would be expecting them to show up in that armor. And even if they did manage to get me out of the Packhouse, bringing an unconscious liability back with them was going to leave them vulnerable and open to attack.
