Chapter 1 - The Journey

............................... Two days earlier ............................... ............................ Silvera Kingdom ............................ .............................................. Alexios Silver (Ares's son) .............................................. "Are you ready?" my dad asked, and my brother and I responded with a resounding "Yes, sir!" This was the day we had been waiting for, and we were super excited. We were off to Crestwood, where we would be studying for the next four years. We had grown up and spent all our lives here, as princes of the kingdom, constantly in the spotlight and under the watchful eyes of our parents and the public. We loved it here, but sometimes the pressure got to us. This was our chance to release some of that pressure, as we wouldn't be known as princes where we were going. For our safety, my brother and I had to change our appearance. We dyed our hair sandy blonde, as our silver hair would have immediately given us away, and we had to wear contact lenses all the time to hide our silver eyes. We were also going just by Alexi and Ky Black instead of Alexios and Kyron Silver. We were finally going to be able to live like regular dudes our age, free from the expectations and scrutiny that came with our royal status, and we were going to stay on campus with normal people. A second place of accommodation off-campus had also been arranged for us, where our fake parents were going to be staying. We had a female and a male bodyguard who were going to be acting as our parents and living nearby. My father asked us to sit for a moment, and we did. Just then, Mother entered, and she smiled at us, taking a seat next to my dad. "Your mother and I want you to know how proud we are of you and how much we love you. You have grown into fine young men, and it is with great joy that we see you embark on this new journey of your lives." He paused, taking a deep breath before continuing. "As you know, being the son of a king comes with certain responsibilities and expectations. You are not only representing yourselves but also our entire kingdom. Your identity may not be known by the world, but the gods know, and whatever you start out there will end here. So, you have a responsibility to always behave in a kingly manner and set an example for others to follow. Your actions will reflect not just on you but also on our family and our kingdom," he added, looking at us both sternly. "You know this. We've gone over it before," he continued, reminding us of our dos and don'ts again, starting with not being allowed to date. According to our custom, we are not allowed to date before marriage. It’s only after our twenty-first birthday when we find our mates that we will be able to date, but even then, s*x is forbidden until our wedding nights. I hated this rule; both my brother and I did, but there was nothing we could do. It was the same with our father, and we were provided with a way to release the tension, and it would be so until we were married. It would be nice to f**k who we wanted, though, instead of the whole thing being so formal and boring. "Alexios, are you listening?" my father asked, making me realize I had zoned out. I quickly composed myself and apologized. "Listen, I know that this may be difficult for you both, but I implore you to understand the gravity of your position. You are not just any young men; you are the future rulers of our kingdom, and with that comes sacrifice and restraint. You must put the needs of our kingdom above your personal desires and this is not to say that we don’t trust you or that we want to control your lives. It’s simply a matter of responsibility and duty," he added, and we both told him we understood. "Okay, let's get going," he said, and we all got up and shared hugs. Mom started crying, causing Ky to get teary too. We headed out and our driver pulled up in front of us and loaded our bags inside the trunk while we settled inside the car. Minutes later, we arrived, and the airport was bustling with activity, people rushing around, trying to catch their flights. Our driver entered the private area where our jet stood waiting, and we were greeted by guards who helped us with our luggage and escorted us to our jet. We stepped inside and made ourselves comfortable; this was a twenty-one-hour flight, so we were going to be stuck in here for a while. . . ........................................ Twenty-one hours later ......................................... "We are here," my father said as the pilot announced our arrival. We unstrapped ourselves and got to our feet. Just then, the door opened, and we headed towards it, but my father called us back and hugged us. "I love you," he said, and we told him we loved him too. We only found out that Father was coming with us just as we were about to go. We told him he didn't have to, but he insisted. He tried to hide it, but we knew he had been reeling with anxiety leading up to the days of our departure. My father was just a little older than us when he left the kingdom to pursue his dream of serving in the army, and he was kidnapped and killed by his adopted brother. My brother and I were shocked when he and our mother told us the story. Our parents had told us how they met, but we thought he just had amnesia. We never knew it was because he lost his Lycan. He told us the story just before my brother's eighteenth birthday. My brother and I are only seven months apart, so we grew up doing everything together. The thought of us leaving and going halfway across the world scared our parents, especially my father. It reminded him of everything that had happened to him, and even though he made sure we had people watching us, it wasn't enough. When we pulled back from the hug, I assured him again that we were going to be okay and that we were going to watch each other's backs, as he had always told us. After putting on his cap and sunglasses so that no one would know it was him, we stepped off the jet, and the warm breeze of Crestwood Airport embraced us as we descended the steps, our excitement palpable again. Waiting for us on the tarmac was a black Bentley and two black SUVs. Our guards emerged from the SUVs, greeting us with nods and opening the doors to escort us inside. As we settled into the leather seats, the city skyline came into view. The streets were alive with the hustle and bustle of daily life, and our hearts started racing. The journey to Crestwood Academy was smooth and swift, with the guards expertly navigating the unfamiliar city streets. We went to our penthouse first, and from there, we proceeded to the institution's accommodation. Our guards had come here ahead of us to prepare the place for us. We were reminded of our identities again as we arrived at our accommodations, and I heard my brother sigh as he looked at the reporters taking photos of the students as they arrived, some moving closer to our car and taking pictures. So much for getting away from them. We bade our father, who remained in the car to avoid the paparazzi, goodbye and headed inside. A guide came out to meet us and showed us to our rooms. We were probably going to be in one room most of the time, but we chose to have two separate rooms, but they are right next door to each other with an adjoining door. So we entered via one room, and they were the same, so I took the first one. Our guards s***h pretend parents helped us settle in, then left. I plopped on the bed, asking my brother, whose door was still open, what he wanted to do, and he was still in the middle of saying, "We must check the place out," when there was a knock on my door. I grabbed the remote, and opened it, also getting to my feet. "Good afternoon," one of the guys dressed in formal attire, who must have been the butler, greeted me while carrying a silver platter. After introducing himself, he handed me an invitation to the first-year student party taking place that night. I had forgotten about it. I took the invitation, which looked like a high-end event ticket, complete with holographic foil and embossed lettering. They had gone all out for this. The invitation also featured a unique QR code that allowed me to RSVP and receive further details about the event. "This is also for you," the guy who introduced himself as Willem added, gesturing for the second guy to hand me a gift bag. I thanked him and opened it to find a branded key chain and a T-shirt. "Wow, that’s one way to get to know each other," I said, looking at the guys before thanking them. They left, and just then, Kyron entered with his T-shirt and a mischievous smirk on his face. This was going to be the first time attending a party outside the kingdom or going to the club by ourselves. We sneaked out and went to one once, but that didn’t count because we somehow got caught on camera, and my dad almost killed us. He had to order the journalist to remove the article, and we were grounded for two months. "I have a feeling about this, bro," Ky said, turning around and heading back to his room, and I chuckled, having the same feeling. "You are a prince!" I shouted, and he laughed, saying "Yeah, yeah." "Okay, let the fun begin." . . ................. Otria City .................. ......................................................... Avery Harlow Brooks (Rey’s son) ......................................................... "I love you," Mom said and I told her I loved her too, before hugging my dad and heading to the jet to catch up with the guys. "Lex! Come on," Elly said, looking back at her sister, who was still hugging their dad. Lex let go and rushed over to the plane. We entered and made ourselves comfortable; the excitement was palpable on everyone’s faces. The door closed, and we strapped ourselves in at the pilot’s announcement. Elly asked me about the first-year student party we had been talking about on the way, and I explained everything to him. Lex asked if I was going to attend, and I said I was. The guys were excited, but no one was more excited than her. She just couldn’t wait, and I had a feeling the guys and I were going to have our hands full, especially me, since their parents trusted me to keep an eye on them and let them know if they got into trouble. Unlike them, I was in my second year, so I knew how things worked. After the second announcement, we unstrapped ourselves. Ford was hungry and ordered some food for all of us except for Lex, who said she wasn’t hungry. "Are you going to sleep?" Ford asked as she got to her feet, and she said no; she was going to call Fifi. A moment later, our food arrived, and we are and changed into our pajamas. It was going to be an eighteen-hour flight, so we decided to entertain ourselves and play some games. Lex came out and joined us, suggesting that we play this weird board game she liked, but we didn’t want to do that. However, we didn’t have the heart to break hers, so we put it down to a vote. Her twin brothers voted against her, and I voted for her just so it wasn't so obvious, making it a tie. Elly suggested a tiebreaker, and I went up against him. I lost on purpose, so the board game was out, and a video game it was. She knew how to play, and we invited her to join us, but she didn’t want to. After a while, we realized it wasn't fun playing with her sulking next to us, so we asked her to suggest a game that wasn't the creepy board game. She grinned from ear to ear, got to her feet, and surprised us by suggesting a video game where we partnered up. She paired with me and her brothers partnered together, and we joined our chairs to start playing. Before we knew it, we were having champagne too. "I’m cold. I’ll be back," she said, getting up before heading out of the lounge. She returned with a blanket, laughing at Ford, who was screaming, tipsy. We were all tipsy at this point. Elly wanted to do shots, and we obliged. He took a few, and Ford ripped the bottle away from him, telling him to slow down while Lexi laughed at them. They were now lying on the rug in front of the TV. This was the first time they were traveling without their parents, and Mr. Turner was very strict. Ford said it was like their dad was afraid they would die like their older brother, Trey if he spoiled them too much or allowed them too much freedom. "Oh, no. I’m good," I said to Lex, who had turned on the music and handed me a drink. But she insisted that I drink it and got the guys to join in too, which I did. After the way I drank last week, I told myself I was going to lay low for a while, but it looked like that wasn't happening. Unlike their father, my dad was very chilled. I was allowed to do pretty much whatever I wanted, as long as I was responsible. "s**t!" Lex shivered with her eyes closed after taking her shot. I handed her a lemon, which she took and sucked, snuggling on the blanket she came back with next to me before wiping her hands. We didn’t even know what we were doing at this point. Elly suggested we play a drinking game, and I opened my mouth to agree with Ford, who told him we were already drunk, but the words died in my throat when I felt Lex's hand on my c**k. Startled, I turned my head, and she put her index finger over my mouth, silencing me as she brought her hand up to the elastic of my pajamas and slipped inside. Everything in me screamed to take it out as the controls slipped from my hand, but I did not. "f**k," I whispered as she lightly ran her fingers up and down my c**k, touching me down to my perineum. My lips parted, and my breath came in short gasps as she grabbed my c**k and wrapped her fingers around my shaft, stroking me up and down while her thumb rubbed the back of my tip. f**k, I have got to stop this. "Le-x stop," I whispered, rocking my hips while the guys' voices faded into the background as I slumped back on the sofa, my c**k pulsing in her hand, but she didn't stop. Precum gushed forth, and she spread it on my tip with her fingers, which at this point appeared to me to be magical, making it the ideal lubricant as she accelerated. My eyes fluttered closed as I gripped the soft leather, but just then she let me go. My eyes flew open to find her smirking at me before she got up, called her brothers, who looked like they were passed out, and wished them good night. "Good night," she said in a seductive voice now looking at me as her eyes drifted to my lips, and I knew I shouldn't. I had been saving myself for my mate, and I only had two years left to go before finding her, but I did. I stood up and followed her. "Damn it, Avery!"
