The annals of the year 197pC (post-Conflagration) proved somewhat more extensive than the entries of previous years. The Pale’s annalists had much to record, and the resulting data uploads to the Navel were extensive. Any forecaster who cared to compare the records across the ages noted that the PPA of 197pC was by every measure the most severe.
Forecasters’ judgment of the scale of 197pC’s PPA was somewhat modified by the events of 198pC, when the war—or, more correctly, the latest battle of the war—was enacted at Alpha Gate.
