THIRD PERSON

Kai 'allows' Declan to take him into his room, watching as the door closes and they were now left in a dim room. Declan would've turned on the light but there was light shining from the many windows that his room had.

His room was large, his mattress king sized with two dressers on either side. There was a chandelier that hung in his room, accentuating how tall the ceilings were. The walls were light grey with the wall behind his bed black which added to the decor of the calm room. There was a section off to the side with a couch and coffee table as well as three doors that led to a bathroom, a large closet and a storage space. Overall the room was luxurious but fit to suit Declan's taste.

Declan gently takes Kai's hand and leads him to the bed. He would've taken the small boy to the couch but it was nearly reaching eight and he could see it in Kai's eyes how tired he was so he knew the best option was the bed if Kai didn't immediately leave the room after hearing how promiscuous Declan was.

Declan was terrified, he knew some people thought sexually active people were the worst people to date. Though, it wasn't a majority of people who thought so, he was dreading the potential judgement Kai would pass on him. He was afraid of the possible pain that might ingulf his mate knowing he didn't wait for him.

Kai, surprisingly, remained silent and compliant as Declan threw his comforter over them and settled together in his bed. Declan released a breath, his eyes roaming over Kai's features and he silently thanked the Moon Goddess for giving him such a mate. He was already feeling pain in his heart from what he had to tell Kai.

He didn't want to do this but Kai deserved to know. Declan would share anything with Kai if it meant he'd expose more of himself to his mate. He wanted no secrets to act as a barrier between them.

"I was a player," Declan started off this way and Kai raised a brow.

Then Declan began to tell Kai everything.

He told him about how he had s*x with multiple people. It wasn't something he was proud of but back then, at the time, he was s****l and he admitted to being s****l. He enjoyed divulging in activities that gave him pleasure but hated the idea of being tied to one person because what was the point of having s*x if it was just with one person? There was a variety of people out there to sleep with and Declan would be damned if he didn't try different people as if they were flavors of ice cream. Declan told Kai this with regret in his voice.

Declan didn't leave out how he tossed the people he slept with like they were pieces of tissue paper he used to blow his nose. Saying this, Declan internally flinched, only realizing now how much of a douche he sounded like. There were so many girls who'd throw themselves at him and Declan, like the player he was, allowed his ego to grow and he used them like they were items.

He wore a frown as he recalled aloud how some girls would cry for him to be with them, or yell at him and tell him he was the only one they wanted to be with. They were desperate and Declan hated desperation, he still hates it but at the time he dismissed them as clingy and allowed them to chase him.

Then Blake came along and she was a one night stand but for some reason, things were different with her. Declan told Kai he didn't fall for her but when she wanted to spend another night with him, he allowed it which was different from his usual rule to use them and toss them. Kai scowled at the phrase he used and Declan sighed, acknowledging once more how much of an ass he appeared to be.

Blake became his casual friend with benefits for a while until he realized he was slightly coming to like her. Declan, freaking out, slept with her and the day after he realized maybe he'd ask her to be more than friends with benefits. It took Declan a while to come to terms with the idea of dating someone but he thought why not. Kai watches as Declan's brows furrow slightly as he continues telling him the story of how things occurred.

When Declan went to Blakes room, he saw her with another guy and they were having s*x. Declan shows his annoyance as he recalls how he had no right to be pissed when they were just friends with benefits so it didn't matter who she slept with. Declan left but he didn't speak to her much after that.

Blake, noticing this, came up to Declan and Declan made it known they wouldn't be giving each other s****l favors anymore. It was later that Blake realized Declan had slight feelings for her and she came to try and date him but it was too late.

Kai listens to all this without saying anything while Declan continues speaking with a nervous and accelerating heart beat.

"When I met you things changed for me and I told myself I'd reject my mate but you were everything I didn't know I wanted in a mate. You were perfect and I felt like I didn't deserve you at one point," Declan allows his hair to fall in his eyes as he feared looking at the expression Kai wore.

Contrary to what Declan thought Kai would react with, Kai released a breath as he gently swept the dark black hair out of the Declan's face. Declan looked down at his mate, watching as Kai smiled gently at Declan.

Kai cups Declan's face in his hands and holds him still as he presses a small gentle kiss to his lips. Declan relishes in the feeling, surprised but enjoying feeling his mates lips on his. His heart was pounding in his chest, sighing as Kai pulled away from him.

"I'm not mad," Kai admits.

Kai listened to everything Declan told him and though he was disappointed Declan used people like they were objects, the amount of regret that took over Declan's face told Kai that Declan has grown and has probably been mulling over his past for a long time. Declan's inner thought that he wasn't good enough for Kai was enough punishment and Kai didn't want to make Declan feel any worse.

They were adults and would leap over this hurdle together.

Being promiscuous once before didn't mean you would eventually be promiscuous again and Kai knew that. He knew Declan's past didn't define him as of now and he didn't want to hold something from long ago over his head.

Blake ignited jealousy in Kai but he kept telling himself that Declan wouldn't relapse but he was still afraid as much as he tried to hide it.

Kai was a virgin, he knew he wouldn't be the best Declan ever had and that thought made him sad. He began to think maybe he should've lost his virginity so he'd have experience.

"I know what you're thinking," Declan said snapping Kai out of his thoughts, Declan's gaze held dominance as he glared, "I'm glad you're virgin, I'm glad no one has touched you because you're mine. I wish I would've saved myself for you and I regret that I hadn't but know that I'll only be with you and no one else, Cub. You mean the world to me."

Kai blushes shyly as he ducks his head down to hide how much it affected him when Declan said that. A smile slips onto Declan's face as he grabs his small mates' chin between his finger and lifts his head. Kai looks back at Declan, his lashes fluttering and driving Declan crazy as Kai looked perfectly innocent in that moment and it drove Declan insane.

He wanted to take away his innocence but Declan decided to calm himself down. He'd waited two years and hadn't f****d Kai and he'd wait however long

It took before he was ready because Kai meant so much to him.

"Wait," Kai became serious instantly, "s****l diseases. You can't tell me you're clean with your past hoe ways."

Declan released a laugh, "werewolves don't contract diseases of any kind."

"For real?" Kai gaps.

Declan nods, pulling Kai close to him. Kai allows himself to melt into the feelings that explode inside of him and the tingles that shoot through him and he lay his head on Declan's chest, cuddling into him. Declan loved this, wrapping his arms even tighter around Kai.

"I accept you for who you are no matter what you did in the past," Kai says softly, yawning afterwards.

"I don't deserve you," Declan mutters, pressing a kiss to Kai's forehead.

"But stick your d**k in another hoe and I'm bringing out my knife," Kai warns, voice tired but serious.

Declan smiles, laughing to himself.

"The only place I'm sticking my d**k into is you," Declan whispers and Kai shivers.

Kai doesn't say anything as he falls asleep cuddled into Declan who falls asleep moments after he's sure that his mate is comfortable and sleeping.

It was possibily at four a.m when Declan shoots awake as he hears screaming and ruffling beside him. He becomes alert and watches with worry as Kai thrashes in bed, tears streaming down his face with his eyes screwed tightly shut and screams and whimpers occasionally leaving past his lips.

Declan is overwhelmed with worry as he shakes Kai awake. Kai allows Declan to engulf him in a hug, the smaller boy whimpers quietly with tears still falling down his face. He buries his face into Declan's hard chest, his tears staining the fabric.

Declan whispers sweet nothings to Kai, gently running his hands down Kai's back and allowing Kai to slowly calm himself down.

"Cub, it's okay," Declan whispers.

Kai shakes his head, slightly shaking, "I'm sorry."

"Don't apologize, ever, " Declan says deeply, his voice gruff and husky as he just woke up.

They remain in silence, with Kai's soft breathing filling the air.

"You don't have to talk about it but I'll be here whenever you want to," Declan says in the softest voice Kai has ever heard.

He clutches Declan close to him as he releases a breath, sniffling a bit.

Declan knew there was something Kai kept to himself and he knew it affected his poor mate to the point where he even hated the mention of his whole full real name. He wanted to know badly but he knew not to rush Kai so he'd be by his side instead.

"I want to talk about it," Kai said shakily.

Declan was surprised but he said nothing and waited for Kai to start without rushing his mate.

Kai opened his mouth and told Declan everything.
