7 Concealment An hour and a half later, Melanie pulled her horse to a stop. "Hold here, gentlemen." Julian had fallen back so he was bringing up the rear. So when she stopped, he was pretty much forced to do the same. Tolburt, on the other hand, had continued to lead the way all morning, and Julian was content to let him do so. If Tolburt was in a hurry to get himself into trouble, why should he stop him? Not that Julian really expected trouble here, within the borders of Glimmer Vale. But the principle was sound. So it took Tolburt about twenty yards before he noticed they had stopped. When he did, he frowned and turned his horse around, then walked back to Julian and Melanie. "Might want to speak up next time," Julian said, then grinned at Melanie's annoyed glance his way. S
