Callie's P.O.V He helped me out the car, heading to a spot at the edge of the lake, placing his jacket down for us to sit on. “Quick questions Blake. Why are you spending time with me when you could probably be getting laid or causing trouble with your friends?” I asked looking at him.  He shrugged, not answering me. I decided not to ask him again. There would be no point wasting my breath. I looked at the view in front of me, digging into my lunch...Blake doing the same. I don't think I have ever seen him this quiet in all the years I have known him. “When you coming back to school? My days are ruined not having you there to harass and annoy.” He said smirking looking at me. “Never! I am immigrating to Australia to get away from you.” I laughed sticking my tongue out at him.  “Come on now Callie, you can't do that to me. You will break my black heart.” He pouted Seeing him pout is one of the funniest things I have ever seen. It is weird and not him at all. I burst out laughing at him, making him do the same. I shook my head, rolling my eyes playfully at him. Why was I getting along with Blake James of all people? I still kept my guard up in case he has some sort of plan up his sleeve. He is the bad boy at the end of the day and he cannot be trusted. “You are the one that does the heartbreaking, not the other way I round.” I giggled “How do you know I have never had my heart broken?” he asked, turning around to face me.  “I don’t. Have you? Ever had your heart broken? Ever been in love?” I asked I was genuinely curious about my questions. I see him shift uncomfortably at the mention of love. The material of his jeans all of a sudden became very intriguing to him. That is when I see it in his face, he has been in love before. I am assuming it never ended well for him. I have never seen him with the same girl long enough for him to fall in love. Then again I do not know what he does outside of school. “Oh My God you have been in love,” I said louder than planned, sounding more shocked than I should.  “I do not fall in love, Callie. There was one girl. I could have fallen in love with her but it never worked out. Now she is with someone and I have no chance. What makes it worse is her boyfriend is a guy with many secrets and she has no clue about any of them?” he said, a sadness to his tone.  Now I was feeling bad for being a b***h to him yesterday about the full girlfriend/love thing. “Sorry to hear that Blake,” I said giving him a sympathetic smile “I am over it.” He shrugged I never mentioned it after that cause I could see his guard was back up. I was curious who she was. The girl he was talking about. The one that if was single could possibly have been the one to stop his man w***e ways. I was debating in my head if I should ask or not but never got a chance to decide because his phone started buzzing in his pocket. “I swear that better not be Missy or I am throwing my phone in the lake.” He chuckled, pulling his phone from his pocket.  I giggled, the girl does seem like she is some sort of crazy assed stalker. “Austin.” He said answering his phone He fell silent, Austin talking on the other end,  “I am down at the lake with Callie. I don’t think I am coming back to school. I will come up with an excuse tomorrow.” He chuckled Austin spoke again, Blake chuckling a little, looking at me…smirking. Could he make it more obvious that they were talking about me? “Yes sure come to join us. You can bring beers if you like but I won’t be drinking them cause I will need to take Callie back home. She can’t exactly walk with her f****d ankle. The girl can barely make it down her stairs.” He chuckled.  His friends are coming? I don’t know what I think about that…me and three bad boys that can only end up being trouble for me. I never said anything as Blake continued his conversation, “Callie do you want anything? Drink? Juice? Chocolate?” he asked looking at me I shook my head, Blake nodding before getting back to talking to Austin,  “See you soon buddy. If you run into Missy DO NOT tell her where you are going or that you are coming to meet me cause she will end up following you here.” He laughed, hanging up the phone.  “Austin and Damian are coming down.” He smiled “Maybe I should go home. I do not fancy being the only girl with you three.” I said “Don’t worry we all won’t pick on you. Stay, hang out for a bit what else you got to do?” he asked I had nothing to do…nothing at all. Maybe a few hours hanging with them will not be too bad and if I want to go I will find someone to call to pick me up or get a taxi home myself. “Ok. I will stay for a bit.” I shrugged “That’s a girl.” He winked, nudging me playfully  “I will make sure to get you home safe and sound.” Blake winked “Yeah, yeah if you insist.” I giggled He chuckled, prodding my side, making me laugh,  “I promise...scouts honour.” He smiled widely I do have to admit he does have a beautiful smile. I know I should not even be thinking that but it is the truth. I found myself smiling back in the same way. A silence fell between us, but we were still looking at each other. He had very beautiful eyes too. I found myself getting lost in them for a moment “What?” he asked seeming a little on edge...fidgeting nervously. “Nothing,” I said quickly pulling away from him Wtf was that? I have never found myself sharing a moment, even a small one like that with another guy before...only Ryan. Maybe I need to stop spending as much time with Blake. I sighed, running my hands through my hair, pissed at myself for what happened only moments ago. “Callie?” he whispered “Hmm?” I said turning to him “Are you OK?” he asked “Fine...why do you ask?” I replied pulling my knees to my chest, resting my chin on top of them.   “Nothing. Don't matter, forget I said anything.” He sighed.  “Blake. Callie.” We heard from behind us We looked around, seeing Austin and Damian coming towards us, thankfully they were alone. Blake stood up to greet them with a “man” hug. I sat there quietly and awkwardly. “Hey, Callie.” Damian smiled “Hey, Damian how are things?” I smiled “Good. How is the ankle?” he asked “A pain in my ass.” I laughed, making him do the same “Hey, Callie.” Austin smiled “Hey, Austin.” I smiled back I have known Austin longer than I have known the other two since he stays on my street. We used to play with each other when we were kids. He was probably the nicest one out the three of them...Josie has been in love with him for a long time. She will never tell him though. Even though Josie is beautiful she isn't exactly Austin’s type. The three of them sat down next to me...Blake at one side...Austin at the other and Damian in front of us...well this wasn’t awkward at all...note the sarcasm. “Beer?” Austin asked holding one out to me “Sure why not.” I smiled taking it from him “You drink?” Blake asked shocked “Yes, what did you think I don't do stuff like that?” I laughed “No...Not really. I always thought you were some sort of good girl.” He laughed “I am not wild but I sure as heck am not a good girl.” I laughed “Oh...Ok. What else do you do that I don’t know about?” he smirked “Oh, wouldn't you like to know?” I winked “Yes, I really would actually.” He asked curious scooting closer to me “Yeah...not gonna happen,” I said smugly He pouted at me before shrugging and moving away, “I will find out all your dirty secrets baby girl.” He winked I flipped him off, taking a sip of my beer. He will never find out my dirty secrets cause to be honest I really don't have that many but he does not need to know that. The three guys started talking and I sat listening to them...drinking my beer. Damian sparking up a joint, taking a long drag before turning to me, holding it out for me to take a draw,  “No thanks don’t smoke or do drugs,” I said He shrugged passing it to Austin. Everyone was having a beer except Blake cause he was driving and I sort of felt bad.  “Blake, have a drink I will get a taxi home,” I said “You sure?” he asked and I nodded He smiled sweetly at me, grabbing a beer for himself. Austin put some music on. The four of us chilling out, enjoying the sunshine. The guys were taking selfies, they are worse than the girls. I giggled at I watched them, they were a bunch of posers. “Say cheese princess" Blake smirked pointing his phone in my direction “No.” I laughed hiding my face “Aw come on, smile for me.” He chuckled “No, you already have a photo of me that you should never have had...that is enough.” I giggled He smirked, Austin and Damian doing the same. Oh, the jackass has shown them that photo. I reached in, slapping Blake across the back of the head. He yelped, looking at me,  “Hey what was that for? That was mean.” He said rubbing the back of his head “For showing your friends that photo. Don't even try to deny it...it is written all over their faces,” I said glaring at him. “You two got told to keep your mouth shut,” he said turning to his friends glaring, “Don't get mad at them...this was you’re doing,” I said to him  He and I bickered back and forth for a few minutes...Austin and Damian laughing at us. “Jeeze you two are like an old married couple.” Damian laughed “Eww...no,” I replied laughing He stuck his petted lip out at me, pretending I hurt his feelings...in return I flicked his nose, making him chuckle. He and I eventually stop which I think the others were thankful for. “I am going for a swim.” Damian piped in He stripped down to his boxer’s right in front of me but I made sure to look away. I do not need to see him half-naked thank you very much. Austin was soon doing the same thing. The two of them diving into the lake. If my ankle was not as sore I would properly have joined them. “You not going in?” I asked Blake who was laughing at his friend “Callie baby if you wanna see me half naked, ask...no need to try to find ways to get me half-naked.” He smirked.  “You really are full of yourself aren’t you?” I laughed He shrugged, jumping to his feet stripping down to his boxer’s right in front of my face. I knew I should turn away, instead, I found myself checking him out. Before I knew what I was doing my eyes were trailing his half-naked body. Wtf am I doing? I do not look at other guys except Ryan. At the thought of him, I felt guilty, quickly turning away. “Ha, too late to turn away now...you were totally checking me out.” He said smugly I never answered him...instead I pushed him into the lake. He hit the surface with a loud splash before he jumped from below the water coughing and splattering. “What the f**k Callie?” he hissed “You...deserved...it...Blake.” I said between my laughs with the look on his face right now. “I will get you back for that sweetheart.” He smirked “Whatever,” I said rolling my eyes Maybe today was gonna be more fun than I thought.
