"Susan, I can’t marry you."
Mike’s voice was devoid of any emotion but there was an obvious disgust in his eyes. It broke Susan’s heart into pieces.
Mike wasn’t in love with Susan. He didn’t care who she slept with. But he felt sick knowing he had slept with such an indiscreet woman.
He wanted to marry Susan because he needed a woman, and she was the only woman he had slept with. He thought he was her first man. But now it was obvious that wasn’t the case.
