I have a date with Zachary Grant tonight at 7?  I texted Jenelle, Me: Jen, code blue Jen: Who do we need to bury? Me: No one, but Zachary is taking me on a date tomorrow night  Jen: No way, the Zachary Grant? Me: Yes, how do I get out of this situation? Jen: You don't, just go to the date and ruin it hopefully he wouldn't ask you out on another one If it was only that simply. Unknown number: Also don't tell anyone about us fake dating, not even your friend or Andy. We'll convince them that we are actually dating Me: Zack? Unknown number: Hello muffin, see you at 7 pm tomorrow Me: How did you get my number? Unknown number: That's a secret muffin ;) Me: Whatever Jen: You there? Me: Yeah, I'll do everything I can to ruin the date Jen: If you need backup, I'm your wing woman Me: Thanks, but I can handle it Jen: Okay, tell me how it goes Me: Will do I went downstairs to tell Delia about my supposedly date with Zack. “Hey I need to tell you something”, I said to her as she was in the living room. “What’s up?” She put down the book she was reading. “Zack is taking me out on a date tomorrow night”, I replied. “Zack, as Zachary Grant?” She gasped and I nodded. “That’s so great honey, I told Angel that you guys will be dating soon”, she hugged me. “It’s just one date though”, I reminded her. “I’m sure there’ll be more”, she said. *** “I’m going to the park today with Landon”, Blair said as we ate lunch. “Who’s dropping you off?” Dad asked. “Our driver will, I’ll be watching them”, Spencer explained. “Are you sure you’re ready to do that? Landon and Blair can be quite a handful”, Delia stated. “Yes mom, plus Mrs. Angel asked me yesterday”, he nodded. “Why didn’t she tell me when we were talking on the phone last night?” She frowned. “Maybe she forgot”, he shrugged. “So Brittany I heard you’re going in a date with Zack tonight”, dad looked at me and Spencer choked on his food. “Date?” He coughed. “Yes a date, why so surprise?” “Because why would a guy like him ask you on a date?” He chuckled and I glared at him. “That’s not very nice Spencer”, Delia scorned. “I’m just surprise, no guy has ever asked her out”, he shrugged. “Apologize to your sister”, she ordered. “Stepsister, I’m sorry Brit hope your date don’t run out on you tonight”, he laughed. “Spencer”, dad warned. “I’m just joking, geesh”, he rolled his eyes. “That’s it, go to your room”, Delia demanded. “Fine, I’m not hungry anyway”, he left the dining room. “What am I going to do with this boy?” She sighed. “He’s just going through that stage in life all guys go through”, I said. “You’re right, anyway do you need help to find an outfit for the date?” “No I’m fine”, I assured her. “You’ll show me whatever you find before you leave”, she said. ____ “This is good”, Delia said as she held up the top which showed your shoulders, I am wearing that with a pair of high waist jeans and converse. “I’ll put my hair in a ponytail”, I said. “No, I’ll curl it for you, go shower”, she pushed me towards my bathroom. I showered and put on my clothes then sat down in front of the mirror in the bathroom and Delia started to curl my hair. “You have such lovely hair, naturally shiny”, she commented. “Actually I sprayed it when I finished bathe”, I confesses. “It’s still nice and soft anyway.” She finished curled my hair in twenty minutes, “make up time”, she grinned. “No”, I shook my head. “But- “No Delia, no makeup you got to do my hair already”, I said. “Fine, no makeup”, she sighed. “Thanks.” The doorbell rang, “he’s here, come down when you’re finish”, Delia left my room as I put on lip balm and got my small hand purse. I walked down the stairs, “you look nice muffin”, Zack greets me with a hug. “You know the rules son, have her back by 10 no later”, dad said. “Yes sir”, he nodded and took my hand, “ready to have a time of your life?” He whispered. “We aren’t going to do anything crazy, are we?” I asked. “No, well at least not on our first date”, he winked. We left and got into his black BMW. “Nice ride.” “Yeah, you have a car too and refuse to drive it”, he said. “I’m just not ready to”, I said. “But you have your licenses”, he pointed out, “how can you not be ready?” “I’ll drive it next semester, since you’re going to be my boyfriend you’ll be my regular driver”, I smirked. “Fake boyfriend.” “From now on you got to start acting like you are my boyfriend”, I said. “Well then, I can get a kiss?” I scoffed, “not before the date.” He grinned. We arrived at the cinema fifteen minutes later, “what movie are we going to see?” I asked.  “The new action movie, hope you don’t mind?” “No, I watch any kind of movie”, I said. “Good, two tickets for the new action movie please”, he said to the guy in the booth and handed him the money. “3D?” “Yes”, I nodded. “Nice date you got there”, he smirked at me and Zack glared at him. “Back off, she’s my girlfriend”, he snapped and pulled me closer to him. “Sorry dude my bad, enjoy the movie”, he handed Zack the tickets, “it starts in ten minutes.” We entered the cinema and the line wasn’t long, “go find a spot in the room and I’ll buy us the snacks”, Zack told me. I nodded and went to the room, handing the person next to the door my ticket and she gave the 3D glasses. I entered the room, the lights were still on and commercials playing, I saw Buzz one of Zack’s friend three rows down with a girl besides him. I took a seat on the opposite side a row above them and sat down. Me: He brought me to the movies Jen: So cliché, but how’s it going  so far? Me: The movie hasn’t start yet and he’s buying snacks Jen: Maybe you should ‘accidently’ spill all the popcorn or something Me: I actually don’t want to ruin my first ever date Jen: Whatever, but be careful Me: Always Zack came when the lights turned off, luckily he sat down in time and slipped on the glasses when the screen started to play the movie. He handed me the medium size bucket of popcorn while he sipped on his large drink eating nachos. “Liking our date so far?” He whispered taking my hand. “Yes, no talking and trying to ask me cliché questions”, I chuckled. “I thought you like cliché questions”, he teased. “Shhh, the movie is showing”, I said focusing on the screen. *** “It was so epic, Will Smith is cool”, I said as we exit the cinema I still have popcorn remaining. “I know right, ready to head home?” Zack asked. It was already 9:30 pm. “We still got fifteen minutes, let’s go sit and talk by the ice cream shop”, I pointed over to the ice cream shop which was surprisingly still open. “Sure”, he agreed. “So what do you want to do after college?” I asked Zack. “Maybe make my own business with the money my grandfather left in his will for me. I don’t want to be a lawyer like my father”, he replied. “That’s nice, I’m not sure what I want to study at college though or what career I want to get into”, I admitted. “What do you like to do?” He asked. “I like chemistry and researching for new things.” “How about Forensic scientist?” He suggests. “That sounds cool, I’ll put it on my list”, I nodded. “George Washington University is a good university to go to if you’re planning on doing forensic science”, he explained. “That’s one of the most competitive universities”, I sighed. “You got the grade and the brain to get in”, he said. “We’ll see, next year I’ll worry about choosing universities, for now I’ll leave an open mind”, I said. “You’re right”, he nodded. *** “Thanks for the movie and ice cream”, I said to Zack as he parked in front of the stairs. “No problem, I’ll pick you up at 7:45 on Monday”, he kissed my cheek and I got out. “10:00, right on time”, dad opened the front door. “Bye Mr. Rogers”, Zack waves from his seat. “Bye Zack.” I walked up the stairs and passed my father, “good night dad.” “Did you enjoy yourself Brit?” “Yes, we saw a movie and ate ice cream”, I nodded. “Good, once he was on his best behavior.”    _______________________________
