Aprils POV
"Did that really just happen?" I asked Lucas incredulously. My best friend had rocked up at Lucas's border and not more than 30 seconds later she was about to mate with Liam.
"Yup, your best friend is the fated mate of my baby brother." He replied, "How do you feel about that?"
"Me? I'm fine about it. The only thing that made me happy in my old life has just come crashing into my new one."
Of course, what I didn't say was 'why can't it be that easy for us'? Apparently, all it had taken was a sniff of each other and that was that. Mates for life. And I was really jealous!
