After rereading the carefully written letter for the third time that day, Cliff wiped and his brow and carefully folded the once pristine and smooth price if parchment, that was now wrinkled and worn, placed it into the pocket along his breast, and patted it for assurance while he let out a nervous breath he had been holding. Cliff was about to meet with the royal hand of advisors to receive his next assignment. He already had a vague idea as to what the assignment was, and with the recent death of the King, that assumption only heightened his nerves. as he walked up to the depicted, shimmering steps of the palace with gaurds flanking him as he had so many times before, he took in a small but deep breath to steady his hearts erratic breathing and readied himself for what was about to unfold. "Get you're s**t together." Cliff hissed inside his head at himself. As the big, thick, and immaculate doors opened, he noticed that oddly there were only one of the ten advisors, Councilman Edmond Monroe, standing before him. Cliff composed himself as he walked into he enormous hall, bowed his head respectfully at Edmond, and kept his eyes cast down until ordered otherwise. *You may look up now Cliff." Edmond said. Cliff obeyed Edmonds command but kept quite as he waited for his next order. "You must be wondering why you've been summoned on this fair evening, are you not?" Councilman Edmond asked tilting his head inspecting Cliff who stood before him as stuff as a statue. "Yes sir, I am." said Cliff.
