I leaned to check on Prince Zidane once more, and he was still asleep, his lashes moving lightly against each other. The first thing I noticed was how his face still lacked peace. He was definitely asleep, but there was a small furrow in his brows, a small grimace. A small scowl. Instead of retiring to bed, I sat next to him, just watching him, noting the progressions of his sleep. It started to rain much later, and to my surprise, I realized his face immediately softened, like he had found a safe haven in the sounds of the rain. He did say his lycan hated the rain, so why? I turned away, my brows furrowed as I thought about it. The more I tried, the more lost I was, and before I knew it, I slowly drifted off to sleep.
