“Miss Zoe? Should I tell them to destroy it or pick it up?”
I was brought out of my thoughts by his constant probing. He held a device in his hand and I could hear crackling at the other end, which meant that whoever was at the gate with the letter was waiting for his reply.
I wanted to tell them to destroy it because I was a bit afraid of what the contents could be. Again, no one knew that I was living in the mansion. However, I hesitated because I really wanted to know who was sending me a letter, and why.
“Are you sure it’s addressed to me? Are you sure it’s for me and not some other Zoe?”
