“Dr Emily, why aren’t you saying anything?”
She was still so quiet as she held onto my hand. I was asking her a question and she wasn’t answering me. That was getting on my nerves because different negative thoughts were entering my mind and I didn’t like it. I didn’t enjoy thinking negatively because that was going to make me worry unnecessarily. I snatched my hand out of hers.
“Say something already!”
I tried to sit up straight in the bed, but I couldn’t. There was a pain in my abdomen that I couldn’t afford to ignore anymore. I cried out and fell back down on the pillows.
