The acrid smell that could only be affiliated with getting to know the contents of someone’s intestines wafted up my nose and I would have puked if I were not trying my best to hold myself. I had no idea that this was how I was going to make use of the ironclad self-control that I had forced myself to learn so many years ago. I raised my hands off the table, closing my eyes to see if it would help to die down the disgust that I felt. I didn’t even spare her a glance as I gauged just how much of me had been covered by her vomit. I lifted my left hand and watched as the sticky bits slid down to the floor.
