Chapter 94: Personal Calibration.

It was certainly a very quiet morning. Not much people are eating breakfast in the dining room. Just my party and a couple of other person eating in the massive dining room enjoying the good food that the chefs had cook.
"It's awfully quiet huh. Where's people gone to?"
"I have known the fact that the hotel would be empty like this. It's obviously people are going to party. After all, it's a vacation. Given the resources provided by the company, people are going crazy all day all night, Shiro-boy."
Even though I'm with my party right now, I purposefully take a seat where I'm close to Hanami but pretty far from the rest. Since I do want to immediately discuss about what I needed to do regarding the personal calibration that I will be having after breakfast.
"Since we're here already, Shiro-boy. I'll just tell you the risk that might be happening if we were to calibrate your device to a personal level."
"... Hit me with the risk that I have to face."
"The system will force your head to think that real world is the same as the game. Perfections in games means Destructions in reality. Of course, I know how capable you are in real life as well. But it would be your head playing tricks on you saying that reality is not as fun as game. You will soon be forced to stay in the game and continue playing the game. Until you are one with the game. Do you want to risk it still?"
What Hanami just said right now is something that is very dangerous to hear. If it were to happens, it would ruin my life and force me to essentially become one with the game. Some people might think that is a good thing. But for me, it's far from good... But still, my career depends on how well I do IN the game. Not, OUT of the game. Hence, the risk seems worth the reward as well.
"It's fine for me. I will take the risk."
I know that I'm able to differentiate what's real and what's game. But if somehow this cockiness of mine bite me on the back of my ass. Then I still have some counter measure prepared...
"Since you wants it. Then I'll give it to you, Shiro-boy. I'll wait for you in the basement. In Fifteen Minutes, everything is prepared. So, don't be late."
"Alright. I'll see you there."
After finishing her breakfast, Hanami immediately disappears to the basement. While I'm finishing my breakfast. Rio stated something.
"It's not going to be easy for you, Shiro. The setback is too great. But we cannot say anything regarding this to influence your thought. If things does goes south. Then we're here to help you out. Got it?"
"... Thanks a lot, Rio. I'll seek your helps when things got worse."
I finished my breakfast and immediately went to the basement too. When I reach the basement fifteen minutes later, which is the time of which the two of us agreed to meet up with...
"You're here. Come here. Wear this bodysuits for a while."
Hanami immediately handed me a bodysuit and forced me to wear it. It was tight and just feels uncomfortable. But I didn't really rejected the idea of wearing this suit... In fact, I know why I'm told to wear this.
"How long do I need to calibrate my movement?"
"Not long. Just three minutes and you are done. But, we do need to test you out on a couple of bosses to see the aftermath afterwards. Got it?"
"Understood. I'm ready for my test now."
I get into this very specialized Deep Dive System and sank into the darkness as electric shock.
Meanwhile...
"Miss Hanami."
One of her assistant calls her as soon as Shiro enter the machine.
"Yeah. This is officially it. The first test of our Project Eclipse. Who would've thought, that the first one to test it out is none other than Number One."
"Do you think the project would be a success? Miss?"
"I have no doubt that this project is going to be a success. Since out of every human being in the world. The only one who have the PERFECT compatibility to our Project Eclipse... Is Shiro Shirone himself...."
No one other than the scientist and engineers that's in the same room of her realize that something big is coming to fruition. Amidst all of that. Hanami smiled and muttered.
"It's finally time, Shiro-boy... For me to fully fulfilled my promise. To bring fantasy like power, to the real world."
After that spouts of word... The machine that Shiro is currently in... Glows in blue light... A scream of pain came from inside the machine. Everyone panics, but Hanami stand close to the machine and look at anyone who tries to get close to her.
"Do not doubt what I'm doing."
After a while... Everything just seems to... Stop... Like, time has stop moving and no one said a thing. Everyone feels like they're in a void between space. No sound was made, no nothing can be done... Everyone was in a false reality. Including Hanami herself.
'... What's going on? The experiment seems to be a success... The light has dimmed out and Shiro-boy has stopped screaming. But... Why is he not coming out yet?'
But that's when everyone realize... Shiro Shirone... Has come out from the system... Like a phantom, he silently, and quickly... Make his way straight toward Hanami.
"... What the f**k is going on? I feel enlighten. My body feels like just like how I feel in Eclipse Online."
Hanami then grinned and stated.
"This is YOUR personal calibration! THE ONLY way for YOU to play to your fullest ability! I have designed a way that no one can never do before! Reality Altering!"
I was speechless when Hanami stated that with confident... Reality Altering that Hanami means is that, altering my real life reality with the reality that is Eclipse Online.
Everything I feels, and everything I do now... Feels extra different. Times is moving as usual, but I can somehow focused up and then perceive the time slower. My brain is working super fast. Just like how it is in game...
So, I grinned.
"It's... Not so bad after all..."
Finally, a blessing of life have appear right in front of me.
