Chapter 84: Old Deal.

"Well well, if it's not my old little boy. Shiro-boy. How are you doing?"
"I am absolutely good. Nice seeing you after a while, Hanami."
It's truly been a while since we last met. So, it's nice seeing her after that much time passes... Of course, I don't really like the fact that we met in this type of atmosphere...
"Eits! Did you forget the old deal we made?"
That's it... That's something that I don't want her to remember... It's a deal that we make a long time ago. An embarrassing one to boot. So, I'm not looking forward to paying what I've told her I would do when she did do it.
"Of course not. How can I forget about that damn deal?"
"Good! The deal was, if I manage to make a machine that's capable of putting all of humanity's everything into the other side... You would call me 'What' for a week?"
Damn it... This is embarrassing. I didn't want to call anyone this. I haven't even call Michi this yet because I cannot for the life of me call her this...
"Yes yes. Hanami Mommy. So, can you just not bring this old deal anymore? Good job to you for finding this Deep Dive Machine, Mommy."
The Old deal was to call her Mommy for a month when she managed to bring my potential to the fullest. I agreed to it at the time because I am willing to do anything to bring my full potential to the world of gaming... So, that's why I easily agreed to the deal. To think that it would EVENTUALLY bite me in my own ass when I'm actually bigger and have a girlfriend... It's a bad news for me...
"Thank you. Now, call me that for a month. Even if you're in front of your girlfriend. Okay?"
"Yes, Mommy..."
Now that I said it, I think I'm fine with calling her Mommy. She does have that Mommy quality on her. She's very mature looking even though she's actually childish, so, I guess I can work with that...
"For now, let's move on to some more serious talk. What do you think about the system I created. Is it to your liking?"
The moment Hanami get serious. The atmosphere tensed up properly and I get out of the Deep Dive System.
"Obviously. It's better than I thought. You're watching what I just did to that opponent of mine, right? All of you here have a properly working eyes."
"Yeah, That movement is definitely not a simple movement that can be done in a normal VR headset. To immediately turn around, make all of that small adjustment to a bite motion. It's not normal."
"Exactly. That type of movement is only possible when someone is capable of thinking and doing it simultaneously. That's what would happen if a player mind is so open to all possibility and his body can keep up to it."
"Wow, Shiro. I understand what you mean. I have that problem as well. But, I never really reach that level of thinking to movement. You know?"
"Rio, you don't need to worry about what you can do compare to mine. It's like, comparing God to King."
"... Understand what you mean. But it pisses me off."
"Ignore that. Anyway... The machine is going to get me addicted soon. You can wait for the game to get broken by all the stuff I'm about to do."
I said that last part with a grin. Everyone is looking at me silly like they're looking at a crazy person. I must admit though, I'm sort of a crazy person because all the stuff I did is out of normal realm.
I look at Hanami and then look at Rio.
"You guys want to eat lunch or something? I want to talk about something. Especially with Hanami Mommy regarding the machine."
"Oh, yeah, I'm cool. As long as it's on you, I'm cool with it."
"Exactly. If Hanami wants it, I can't say no. Especially when you're the one inviting, Shiro."
"You two are such cheap bastard despite being crazy rich huh. Well, sure then, It's on me. I just want to talk about the machine a bit more and you're doing this to me."
Hanami is definitely the richest out of us three. With me being close second and Rio not too far third. We're all very rich. But, that doesn't mean that we like to eat too expensive of a stuff... So we just went to a restaurant and then order food to our liking. Of course, the restaurant is in the hotel.
"So, what do you want to talk about? Judging from your tone, it's something very serious about the machine."
"There's a thing that makes me worried about the machine. Since it's a Deep Dive machine that covers the entirety of player physical body... The risk from an error should be very big, too... Right?"
"Like, from electricity malfunctions and virus alike?"
"Yeah. From that type of stuff. I'm just worried that because we're in a system that cover our body... One wrong option will spells certain death..."
Hanami just smiled when she heard about that. That smiles indicates that she has the answer to my question. Which is a relief... I don't want to play game with that unnecessary risk...
"I obviously thought of such things. You can trust my system to never malfunction no matter what's going to happen. After all, in order to hack the Deep Dive System... You need to go through my virus killer. If the lights goes out, the power storage are going to keep it going on. There's a built in air conditioner that's going to keep you cooled down, and when the power goes out, the system will warn you about it and you can either log out or continue playing for at least two more hours...
You don't need to worry about getting hacked too. My system is just built different than any other system. The moment other system try to get into the machine, it will block out everything and reverse attack the attacker. Stopping their entire base operation. So, you don't need to worry about a single thing, Shiro-boy."
"Oh wow, Hanami Mommy. You did a lot of things huh. I always thought you are a genius. But this is far up the genius level..."
"Thanks for your compliment. Just know, if you need help with the system, I can customized your own system to fit your needs."
"... Can I call you Goddess instead?"
"Eh? No. Mommy is enough for me. It's better if you call me Mommy anyway."
"Okay. Thank you for all the help. I appreciate that."
Now I do really need to pay for this meal we're eating if she's going to give me that treatment...
