Sierra Honestly, Cookie taking me to his mom's house was so not what I was expecting. Not that I knew what to expect, but still. And getting to see the way he obviously cared and loved his mother helped ease some of my worries. I still had that tiny voice in the back of my head that told me his kindness was too good to be true. But in the moment, it was easy to ignore and relax. In the end, staying with Cookie's mom, Gabriella, was strange at first. For one, I struggled to get her to let me help her around the house, at least at first. I eventually got her to let me help with things like the dishes and a couple of other small things. Though I wished she would let me do more, I also appreciated the lack of responsibility initially, especially as my therapy sessions got more intense. Deal
