The following day at work,I tried not to think about what Declan had done to Edgar but it was so hard to ignore.
Edgar had been so nice to me and he shouldn’t have been treated that way.
And the fact that I had no means of contacting him made me feel angrier.
“So…tell me how was your date last night?I had heard about that restaurant a lot….is it really as luxurious as people claim?”Audrey asked coming to stand beside my desk.
I had told her I was going out with Declan.
“It wasn’t a date.”I corrected.”And yes,the restaurant is indeed expensive and lovely but I don’t really want to talk about what happened.”
That only seemed to spike her curiously.
