“Don’t call her that,” I lash out at Liam. “She’s not my girlfriend.”
“Whatever you say,” Liam mentions, handing a phone over to me. What has gotten into him lately? I can’t help but think. This Aria business really must have him thrown. I look down at the phone and think for a moment, my heart heavy.
“If she’s not your girlfriend, who is she?” Aria asks with a strange tone to her voice. I look at her for a moment, trying to find some way to explain our relationship.
“She’s an old childhood friend.” I say, keeping details brief. “We’ve been catching up recently.” What I don’t mention is just how different she’s become. Sarah used to be the kind of girl I admired but… these recent dates have left me quite unsatisfied.
