Chapter Seventeen: InsightsLuis sat behind the door of his house, knees pressed against his chest, breathing hard. He stared into nothing, his fear total. Whatever the thing was in the mountains, it was huge. The men ran like frightened children, those same men who seemed so brave, so resolute a few moments before, reduced to quivering wrecks. Their screams had pierced the air after they first caught sight of it, or had it perhaps attacked them.
