I decided not to tell Rylan what I saw that night. I knew he wasn't at his best when he woke up.
We drove back to the main building to get back to work.
"We have a report just now," Troy greeted us as we enter the office. "We lost some men from one of the sites we are exploring."
"Was it the demons?" Rylan asks as we enter inside.
"We believe so, like before, there were clothes left on the ground in the shape of a man."
"That's how Lucian and Maara kill," I said.
"Also, the map was missing from them. Whoever killed them must have taken the map as well."
Why would they want the map? If Lucian was able to resurrect Maara, surely he knows where the sacred grounds are.
Suddenly the door swung open by one of their men to report. "We caught sight of that girl Maara, thirty minutes ago."
