The rest of the morning went by quickly and soon, we were all on the beach while Rava and Mike unloaded the surfboards.
"How do you use those?" I asked, and they all looked at me before Rava smiled.
"You paddle out on your belly with your hands like this." He demonstrated, "Then, when a small wave comes that's too small to surf but too big to glide over, you grab onto the sides and push down to go under, and the board will come up on its own. Then, when you see a nice decent wave, you face away from it and paddle back towards the beach and as you go up on the wave, stand and place your feet an equal balance apart and keep yourself steady." He said and showed me on the board.
"It's hard the first few tries, I wiped out a lot when Mike first showed me." He said and Mike laughed.
