17 Katherine I sit at the bay window in my room, looking out at the faraway mountains. There’s a storm rolling in and heavy fog is starting to creep over the hills. It makes me vaguely claustrophobic, but the weather seems to be in step with my mood. I’m going stir crazy locked up inside this gated fortress. If I don’t see the outside soon, I’m really afraid that I’m going to start to lose my mind. Skulking around the whole property inside the gates, I keep coming to the stables again and again. They are just sitting there, the cedar of the building crisp and new, ready and waiting for someone to explore them.
