Prologue My breath caught in my throat as he leaned over me. It felt like I was falling into his golden gaze. How could someone so handsome be so scary at the same time? “You owe me.” His voice, a deep, commanding purr, warm breath moving over my skin. Making me feel dizzy as I sucked in a lungful of that sweet cinnamon smell of his. Shivering, I tried to step back. I didn’t know how I was going to pay him back. Student loans had put me so far into debt that I had already dropped out of college. I was barely staying afloat. What was I supposed to do now? I tried to step away from him and he took a prowling step closer to me. Making me feel like I was being hunted. I fought down the urge to run from him, knowing that there was nowhere for me to go. No where that he wouldn’t be able to find me. “What do you want from me?” His full lips twitched into a half-smile and I hated how my heart fluttered. Tongue tucking behind his teeth as he ran his eyes up and down my body. “That’s easy, marry me.” “What?” I asked, not sure that I had heard him right. “You heard me.” He said, moving closer until his body was flush against mine. “Marry me.” I looked up at him, unsure of what I was supposed to say. How had I gotten myself into this situation with Leonardo Philips, one of the hottest artists in the world?
