“Jared?”
All he had to say was yes to Kate, but a marriage of convenience hadn’t been Jared’s solution. He wanted things to return to how they were. Well, better. This suggestion of hers sounded more like a Hail Mary pass in the final seconds of the championship game than a viable plan.
She bit her lip, a nervous habit she’d had since they met. “What do you think?”
