10. One Month Time

1185 Words
Sofie's POV- I follow him and stand straight in front of him.  "What do you mean I've to sign another contract?" I ask. "It means that you have to sign another contract." He says and draws a file from the drawer at one corner of the living room. I stand still watching his every action, anticipating his next one. "This contract will act as proof that you fully agree to never intervene in my life." He says and drops it on the glass table. "And what about you interfering in mine. I refuse to sign it because I want to add this clause too." I say stubbornly. He clenches his jaw, but crack your teeth for all I care, you cheater! I'm not going to sign this and if I can use this as an excuse then I am going to! "It's already there." He says. f**k! "Still I'm not going to sign it. You can't take away my rights!" I say.  "Just sign this or I'll make you." He says stepping closer to me. I can feel his b***h's eyes boring in me but I'm gonna choose to simply avoid that b***h. "Well... make me," I say and turn to leave when he holds me by my hips and wraps his one around my waist. Leaning closer he says loud enough that even his b***h can hear, "Just sign that and you'll be free to do whatever you want. You do know that this marriage isn't going to work out and I don't even want to work it out. So, sign the contract and then go wherever you want." He says and I'm not gonna lie, but that hurts. "What if we do work it out, huh? What if I work it out?" I say. "You can try." He says scoffing and pulling away from me. I turn around to face him, "I need a month and if you don't feel even a bit about me in that month, then I'll sign this contract right away!" I say with determination though I'm freaking out inside. Why did I say that? "Are you even serious lady? Chris isn't going to give you a chance when he knows that feeling anything for you is just simply impossible!" His b***h says and I zero my eyes at her. How dare her give him a nickname? "Who the f**k gave you the right to talk in between me and him? I'm his wife and I've every right on him so, you better stay in your limits until you don't want your plastic face to get ruined!" I say. Like seriously, who asked her to pipe in? "You might be his wife but if you think he feels anything at all for you then you are highly mistaken!" She says. "Listen... whatever your name is, Imma call you PHS that stands for Plastic Homo Sapiens and if you don't know what that means then google it. And, you are no one to decide or predict what will happen to us in the future!" I say and her face gives away the look of utter anger because of how I just insulted her and even gave her a new nickname, PHS, but am I wrong? I mean she is a walking plastic on the Earth! "You..." "Shut up both of you!" Christian yells stopping her in between. Then he looks at me with the same cold grey eyes. "I'll give you a month Liza and if you fail, then you'll HAVE to sign this contract without throwing any tantrums." He says and my mood lightens up. But he doesn't bother to ruin that mood by what he says next, "And she is my mistress, Madison. She is to be treated well or the consequences won't be good. So, treat her well. And, your month starts now, from today." He says and leaves. PHS makes her way to me, "So, you just saw how important I'm to him than you. So, better stay here without causing any problems and, stay away from him." She says trying to intimidate me.  "He is my husband!" I say. "But he doesn't mind this marriage!" She retorts back. She is right. This marriage is all because of that contract. He would never agree to it if it weren't for that contract. I need to win his heart to claim my rights over that man. Even if I don't love him, but he is my husband and no wife would want her husband spending time with his mistress. And about Madison, I have named her PHS, but honestly speaking, she is indeed a beautiful woman, she carries herself gracefully and has a body to envy. I watch her go the same direction as Christian went and immediately call her out, "Hey wait! Where are you going, huh?" I ask her. "I'm going to your husband's room as he instructed me." She says with a smirk before turning her back to me and moving ahead. What? When did he instruct her? Or are they so close that she doesn't need him to instruct her every time? I come back to reality and follow her to his room. "Christian, you just said that you are giving me a month, so how could you let her in!? I should be the one to be here and not in that other room!" I yell remembering how the room I woke up in is so different than that. It means that he had just flopped me in one of the guest rooms before. He looks me deeply in the eyes, "I have given you a month to earn all these privileges. You are not going to be in my room, you've to earn it. You aren't going to stop me from spending time with Madison. You have to do something that'll force me to be closer to you. So, this month is for that only, not to already have every right served on a silver platter." He says and turns his back to me. My eyes well up and when I turn around to leave, I see Madison with her lips stretched in a victory smile. I glare at her and move out of the room and right at that moment, the door shuts and only God knows what they are going to do now. Tears finally stream down my eyes and I move to the guest room. I feel like going back to my dad, back in his arms. But I can't, I remember the last words he said to me and I'm going to make my father proud and handle every problem, every dispute between me and Christian. Oh God! Why couldn't he be like his younger brother? Why? But I believe it's something that is holding him from trusting people, to be friends with them or even treat them like normal people.  And I'll find out what that is. ~ This story will be updated on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
