in the Beginning, there was a young witch. no one knew of her power and she did not show it for the fear of being burned. one day the young witch fell in love with a boy. they did everything together and her trust for him began to grow day by day. after about 2 years of the 2 being together the young witch finally decided to tell the boy about her power. she was excited and nervous but she ultimately decided it was time. but when she went to find the boy, she came across something she couldn't believe. the boy was with another women. but not just any woman, it was her own friend. the young witch grew angry and lost control of her power causing her to kill the 2 who had betrayed her. when the villagers found out they condemned her. "monster" one yelled. "burn the witch" yelled another "let her burn for her sins" they all continued to yelled as they set her aflame. "you condemn me for what I am but it was your own kind who betrayed me!" she snapped. "I curse you" she said "I curse all of you to be the monster you think I am... may you and your future kin suffer from pain as you change into the monsters you truly reflect!" she yelled as the fire began to burn her "I CURSE YOU ALL TO HOWL AT THE MOON!" were her final words as she burned to death. the villagers thought nothing of it and forgot about the witches final words. but then the full moon came. as the moon reached its peak in the sky the villagers screams were the only thing that could be heard. the witches curse had come to light. and by the time an hour passed the only beings left in the village were wolves until the next morning. and from that day on every full moon the villagers would change into wolves. ~ "wait I'm confused mommy" a young girl said looking up at her mother. "what about Addy?" the mother replied. "we don't change every full moon now after we get our wolves we can change whenever we want" the young girl said. "well..." the mother began. "a few decades later the goddess felt pity for the kin of those who had condemned the witch. she decided that since they did no wrong they shouldn't suffer, so she gave them and future generations the choice t shift whenever they want and gifted them with a soulmate" her mother explained. "ohhhhh... ok" the young girl said now understanding. "now it's time for bed" the mother said kissing her daughter on the forehead. she stood up and walked over to the door "good night addy" she said as she shut off the light. "night mommy" the little girl replied. the mother walked out of the room and closed the door behind her. she then leaned against the door. "what do you want" the mother said in a dark tone to the the man that was now standing infront of her. "I want my daughter" the man said. "not in a million years" she told him. he reached his arm up in pinned her to the door by her neck. "you don't get a choice moonie" he growled. Moonie- a werewolf who can only change during a full moon also known as the original bloodline. (typically frowned upon). "you do realize she carries my blood" the mother said. "she'll most likely only change once a month she is better off with me" she continued. "Adaline is my child she is safer with me" he told her. "just like I was" she replied. he quickly released her. "you have one day... don't try running" he said as he turned and left. though he gave his warning, as soon as she knew he was gone she began to pack their bags. by 3am she had everything packed in her car. she carefully picked up her still sleeping daughter from her bed and buckled her into her car seat. "I'm sorry my little Adaline, I hope one day you'll understand why I must do this" the mother said solemnly, then quietly closed the car door. she got into the driver's seat and started the car "I won't let them have you" she said to herself as she put the car in drive and drove off. 12 years Later. "are you ready?" her mother questioned as they sat in the car infront of the school "yeah" the girl said confidently. Adaline was now 17 years old, and only a few weeks from turning 18. she was in her senior year of high school, and although it was January she was starting at a new school. "what are the rules?" her mother asked seriously. "don't make friends, but if I do not more then 2, those who know I'm a wolf by my scent can never know I'm a moonie, and don't make waves keep my head down" she told her mother. her mother smiled. "Alright have a good day" her mother said as Adaline got out of the car. Adaline walked into the school and directly to the office, this wasn't her first time at a new school, far from it actually. it was common for her and her mother to move around in order to avoid other wolves or packs. "you must be Adaline" the woman she assumed to be her guidance counselor said as she walked out of her office. "that's me" Adaline replied. "perfect I have your schedule right here and I called one of our best students down to give you a tour of the school. I'd do it myself but I unfortunately have a meeting" she said as the door opened behind adaline. "oh perfect timing Ellie" she said. Addy turned to see who it was. it was a girl about 18 years old with long brown hair and eyes. "hi I'm Ellie" the girl said with a light smile. "Addy" Adaline replied. "well I have to go, I'll leave her in your capable hands Ellie" the Guidance councilor said making a quick escape. "shall we take a walk around?" Ellie asked.
