"I see" Seraphina said. "The archmage Alastor Sand has taken control of My family" Seraphina said. "I ran before he could take control of me as well" she added. "And your injury?" Lillian asked. "I'm unsure if UT was related or not but there was an explosion at the banquet and I was knocked unconscious, when I awoke I was tied to a chair. The son of Duke Soran seemed to have kidnapped me" she began to explain. "That was when Flare, the red dragon, showed up and set the forest ablaze. He took me outside and I managed to get away from him, but not before he slashed me with his sword" she told them.
"Speaking of where did that dragon come from?" Daniel asked. "Last I checked, Sengrid only had 3 dragons," he added. "That is what I would like to know as well" seraphina said "a few weeks ago I was flying near the border when I found a large sinkhole so I explored it and when I did I found hundreds of dragon eggs and a large red dragon guarding them" Sera explained.
"Hundreds..." Lillian said shocked. Seraphina nodded. "When I got close to them they all hatched and they were set free into the world, they could be anywhere by now the baby dragon I brought with me is also from that hole but she was unable to fly" Seraphina continued.
"Your telling me you a princess went exploring In a dangerous sinkhole?" Luna questioned. "I can also use magic, ride a dragon and wield a sword," Sera replied sarcastically. "Why would a princess learn the sword?" Luna asked with a glare. "Why wouldn't she?" Serphina retorted.
"Alright that's enough" Lillian said. "Everyone may leave except the princess, the prince and his guard" she said, and the physician along with the maids left.
Lillian sat down. "What is your plan Seraphina?" Lillian asked. "How will you save your family and your empire?" She asked. "I have dragons," seraphina said. "So does he," Lillian said. "Not yet," Sera said looking up at her. As of now all he has is Drazyn, he will soon discover the existence of the babies if he has not already, which means in order to keep the people safe from him I must find them first" seraphina told her.
"There is no war so bloody as a war between dragons" Lillian told seraphina. "That is why I must find them first great grandmother," Sera said. "To prevent a war" she added. "May I help?" Daniel asked with a smile. "Your Highness" Luna whispered as he stepped forward.
"I think you'll need all the help you can get if you wish to find them" he said, as seraphina looked at him suspiciously. Sera looked at her great grandmother who gave her a nod then looked back at him. "And what do you wish in exchange for this help you offer?" Seraphina asked. "Nothing more than to see how the future queen of Sengrid becomes queen" he said with a bow. "I have no people to bring with me," Seraphina said. "I'll send some of mine with you sera" Lillian said. "As expected to the great queen of Geria" said Daniel. "I also have people of my own who will come with us" he told her.
"Fine," seraphina said. "When would it be best to leave?" Seraphina asked. "You'll leave in a week" Lillian said standing up. "You should be fully healed by then," she added. "I'll leave you two to discuss" Lillian said as she left the room.
"So why do you really wish to come with me?" Seraphina asked suspiciously. "How dare..." Luna said but was stopped as Daniel put his hand up. "You intrigue me Princess" he said. "And I think you someone who can help me with a problem I have as well," he said.
"I assume you're talking about Toin?" Seraphina asked. Daniel was surprised but didn't show it. "You're smarter than you look Princess" he said as Sera stood up from the bed. "My mother had Toin destroyed the day I was born, considering there is no other country nearby that my mother hasn't taken. I can only assume that Daners took what was left of it and rebuilt it" Seraphina said walking to the window.
Rumors began to spread that the people of Toin still hold a grudge against Sengrid and are plotting to avenge their fallen country" she said as she stared out the window. "Of course the only way they could do that is if they go through Daners first, I suspect that they either built the proper weapon with their advanced technology or have some sort of power that popped up out of the blue such as baby dragons" seraphina explained.
"What makes you think they have dragons?" Daniel asked. "Because after 20 years they finally decided to take revenge," Sera said, turning to him. "I doubt it's a coincidence that the rumors started after the dragons were set free," she told him. "But what they don't realize is that raising a dragon isn't easy. The dragon will either choose to obey and form a partnership or kill you" Seraphina told them. "And it will most likely be the deadly option" she told him.
"And how exactly would you make them give up their dragons?" Daniel asked as Seraphina sat down in the chair by the window. "EXACTLY" Luna yelled. "Just because you have a few dragons of your own doesn't mean you can take them. I doubt you'll even kill them" Luna said. "Not many things can kill a dragon" seraphina said. "Not even its own fire" she added.
"So I ask again... how exactly do you plan to make them give up their dragons?" Daniel asked again.
Seraphina looked up at him with a serious look on her face. She was silent. Then she turned her head to look back out the window and stared down at her 4 dragons, that's laid in the courtyard. "Not only am I the dragon's daughter" she said, then turned to look back at Daniel. "But I have their mother" she said.
