Chapter 18 Ariadne

1012 Words
"Your highness," Sona said as she stood outside Seraphinas tent. "What is it Sona?" Sera asked "a lady from Toin has come, she wishes to speak to you" sona told her "she wishes to speak to me?" Sera questioned as she exited the tent. "Yes your highness" sona said. "Bring me to her," Seraphina told her. Sona walked seraphina to where the woman was held. "Why are so many warriors surrounding her?" Sera asked as the warriors cleared a path for her. "They don't trust her, Princess" sona answered as they approached the woman. She had blonde hair and blue eyes unlike most who came from Toin. "I, Ariadne BloodWorth, Greet your Highness, Princess Seraphina" the woman said with a curtsy. "BloodWorth?" Sera questioned. "Isn't that a former ducal family of Toin?" Seraphina asked her. "Yes your highness since Toin was taken over by daners 20 years ago our status has lowered to that of a count" she said. "Why are you here?" Sera asked. "Not many would risk crossing the border?" She questioned. "I need your help just as you need mine your highness" Ariadne said getting straight to the point. "Did you see 3 dragons flying overhead when you arrived?" Seraphina asked. "I did" Ariadne replied "Along with them I also have the Aymaran Warriors which I intend to use to destroy the rebellion in Toin, instead of turning your home to ash as my mother did 20 years ago" Sera said. "I have the power to end Toin yet I choose not to" seraphina added. "But still... I need your help?" She questioned. "It's more than just a rebellion now," Ariadne said. "They now have dragons of their own, dragons they intend to use to kill thousands just to get their revenge" Ariadne explained. "It is as you thought" sona said. "I'm curious if they have grown as well as Eris" seraphina replied to sona. "What is it you wish from me" seraphina asked Ariadne. "I wish to live" she said. "I believe we can make that work" Callahan said approaching seraphina. "Sumakiw phaxsixa (Hello my moon)" Callahan said kissing her cheek. "Kunas aka chiqar puriyapxtam (What brings you here?)" Seraphina asked. "Nayax kunjamtï jumanakax munkta ukhamarjamaw lurawayta ukat alwa pachatak sarxañ amtapkta uka nuwasirinakaruw wakicht'awayta (I have done as you wished and prepared the warriors we are set to leave for dawn)" Callahan answered. Seraphina kissed him. For a man she wasn't completely sure if she loved, he was truly good. They worked well together. In the 6 months they had been wed they had come to rely on each other. They had in a sense become equals. "Worry not for much long Lady Ariadne, for soon the rebels of Toin will be gone" Sera said before walking away with Callahan. "What does that mean?" Ariadne asked Sona. "It means that come Nightfall tomorrow Toin will either be back to how it was before or ash" sona told her. "And if you love your homeland you best pray it is not fire she uses" sona told her before walking away. The day soon turned to night, and just as quickly the sun rose once more. With her dragons behind her and her husband beside she stood in front of over 400 warriors. Daniel however stood to the side, with Luna, Sona, and Ariadne. "Jichhüruw toin ukan kutkatasiñap tukuyañ uruxa (Today is the day we end the rebellion of toin)" Seraphina yelled. "Uka urux jan juchani jaqinakax janiw usuchjatäxaniti ukhamat inas vengasipxchispa (The day innocent people will no longer be hurt so they may take their revenge) she added. "amtäwisax kutkatasir ch'amanakar t'unjañawa janiw khitinakarutï jan jan walt'ayapkistu ukanakarux jan walt'ayañäniti (our goal is only to destroy the rebel forces we shall not harm those who do not harm us)" Callahan spoke. "What exactly is their plan?" Ariadne asked Daniel. "Kill the rebels and take back the dragons" he said. "Wait" Ariadne hesitated for a minute. "You day that as if she already knew they had dragons?" Ariadne questioned. Daniel just looked at her for a moment then back to Sera. "She did, didn't she?" She asked. "She knew they intended to use dragons to take revenge on sengrid" she added. "She had her suspicions" Daniel replied. "She was the one who discovered the dragons" sona said. "What" aria said, turning to sona. "If she didn't have suspicions that they some how got ahold of the dragons it would be strange" sona said. "So what now?" Ariadne asked "what happens now when they have so many dragons?" Ariadne asked again. "That's up to the princess to decide isn't it" sona replied. "She is about to kill hundreds no thousands of people and yet it is up to her to decide" Ariadne said. "Your highness Toin belongs to daners how could you let her do this?" Ariadne asked. Daniel looked back at aria. "I asked her to do this" he said simply. Suddenly the warriors began to charge past the border of Toin and samona "it seems they are on their way" Daniel said as he saw Seraphina get on Storm. Was this what it was like he wondered, watching from the side lines? Seraphina was powerful and he could see that. She was kind though she didn't seem to show it. He could sense something off about her as well. But what? It was almost as if she knew exactly what to do. Almost like she had a line, a line she didn't want to cross. He was curious as to where that line was. She had already burnt a village to the ground and killed hundreds of warriors. Now just to get more Allies she was about to kill hundreds, maybe thousands of rebels that not only threatened daners but sengrid as well. Was she truly doing this for her family? To save them? At that point she could use her dragons and fight against Alastor. So what was the point? Why go so far? Why work so hard? Why not just use her dragons? TO BE CONTINUED
