"Kent?" Mary called again, a confused expression sat on her face. "What are you doing here? Is something wrong?" I scratched the back of my neck nervously. How could I explain that I had come over because I was kicked out of my own home, by my wife. "May I come in please?" I hoped she would succumb. "Sure," she jerked away from the door acting as if it was the first time she had noticed my presence.
