“Jun… he is my mate.” She said and all I could do was a gasp.
“Can you repeat?” I asked her, blinking my eyes like that was the only thing I was capable of and she sighed.
“Your friend Jun is my mate.” She repeated and I shuddered.
“He is human, Nat.” I asserted, as if she didn’t know about it. “Is that even possible? Is it… can it?” I kept asking her, as she wasn’t in turmoil already.
“He is, for sure.” She articulated and I quickly held her hand, supporting her. She appeared vulnerable for that one moment and I couldn’t just let her be.
“We’ll find something for this,” I told her and she nodded. I saw a few tears in her eyes and I was shaken to the core. I never thought Natalie would cry, especially when she found her mate, even though human.
