-JD P. O. V.-
I had the weirdest dream yesterday. I was no longer in my room, and my tormentors weren't there. Yet there was someone else. Some stranger and then others joined him. What was going on? Then this voice in my head who always introduced herself as 'Iri' urged me to attack them. 'It's for our protection.' she said, and once again I've listened to her.
Why do I always go with those crazy voice's ideas? They always put me into even more trouble. Why won't you learn JD?
I opened my eyes and once again I was in seclusion. But wait, this one was different than the one I used to live in. My hands and legs weren't tied down and I could actually stand up from bed. Where am I?
It still didn't have any windows, but the bed was definitely more comfortable and I had my own toilet. But what brought my attention was that the room had only three concrete walls and one was just a glass wall. I came closer to it to see if I can possibly break it. Before I could even touch this glass wall I heard another voice in my head, but this one was so much different than the one that has been with me for so long.
'I see you're awake now, wait a minute I'll be right there.' - and the voice disappeared.
I stood in the spot, the voice stopped me and I waited. What should I expect? Maybe I should hide, or find a weapon of some sort? I looked around the room but there is nothing I can use as my defense. It's pointless.
"Are you there?" - I asked out loud, not knowing which one of the voices I was calling for exactly, but I didn't care. It felt lonely and scary.
Suddenly in front of the glass wall stood a blond with beautiful green eyes. She was taller than I am, around 5,5 ft while I'm barely 5,2. She was watching me with a warm smile plastered on her lips. She was definitely older than I am, something around thirty. Her hair was put in a high ponytail and she was wearing a white lab coat.
"Hi my name is Connie Parker. Actually it's Cornelia, but I hate that name." - she said as warmly as her grin was. I didn't answer, after all I didn't know what she wanted.
"Have you any idea where you are?"
I shook my head.
"Ok, this is a hospital, but different than the one you've been in lately. Can you speak?"
I nodded.
"Could you tell me something about you?" - she asked.
I again shook my head 'no'.
"Would you like me to talk some more about your current situation?"
I nodded.
"Fine, so this is a private institution, and you have been transferred here yesterday. We took some blood samples to check what kind of medication you were receiving so far. We want to try a different approach, but you got scared and attacked our… Boss. So until I'm certain that you won't do it again you will stay here with me. And whatever you need please tell me."
She seems different from the doctors I've met so far. Nice even. But what if she's just like everyone else?
'We must kill her, and get away from here' - the voice in my head said.
I put my hands on my ears trying to drown out that voice. But how can I when it comes from my sick imagination ?!
"No, we can't! Stop that! You'll get me in trouble again!" - I screamed.
This caught the attention of the Doctor, whose smile deepened even more.
"Voice in your head has returned, hasn't it?" - she asked, but why was she so happy about it? Does she want to hurt me in some way?
"She's telling you to kill me and run, right?" - she asked. I looked at her like she was the one who was crazy. How did she know that?
I reluctantly nodded, expecting her to harm me in some way, but that's not what she did.
"Jane, it's normal, and I will explain everything to you, but we need to calm her down for it, ok?" - Doctor spoke again.
'She's a threat to us, we have to kill her!' - voice within shouted again. And I felt this force I always did whenever she was getting the best of me. After every such incident when my clear mind was returning I was yet again left alone in the pool of blood.
"No please don't do it. Not again…" - I pleaded but it was already too late. I heard a familiar cracking sound and I no longer had a power over my own body.
I was too distracted to notice what the doctor was doing, but I suddenly felt a stinging in my left hip and when I looked at it there was a dart sticking out from my body. Voice in my head had disappeared but also my body felt extremely weak, to the point I fell to the ground, yet I was still conscious. What the f**k?!
"Sorry about that. I had to do it otherwise we wouldn't have the chance to talk." - said the doctor, and at that moment I've noticed some sort of gun in her hand. Was it her who shot that dart in me?
"Jane, there is a lot I need to explain to you. Mostly I would do the talking, but there are a few questions I need to ask afterwards, ok?"
I tried to nod, but I couldn't move my head, so I have no other choice. I have to speak.
"Yes." - her eyes lit up to that small word directed to her. What a weird Lady.
"Ok, so I suppose I should start from the beginning." - she sighed deeply like she was about to tell me something difficult - "Truth is you are not crazy. But you also aren't a normal human either. You're a werewolf. And the voice inside of you is your own wolf. Normally when a pup like you grows up in our community, they are aware of our inner voice and we are even impatient while waiting to hear it for the first time. Are you catching up so far?"
I watched her for a while, deciding if she was actually the one insane in here.
"No." - I answered truthfully. I don't believe her. She is probably playing with my mind pushing me even further into my delusions.
"Would you like to see?" - she asked hopefully. But what did she want to show me? The voice? That's just stupid.
"Sure." - I answered knowing I shouldn't believe her either way and no matter what it wouldn't be real.
Her eyes got blurry, like I've seen some patients did when they got their medication in the hospital. But soon after she focused on me once again.
I heard a door opening and some scratchy footsteps. Then in my vision range next to the doctor stood a massive light grey wolf. My heart rate sped up but the doctor seems to be unfazed by the wild animal next to her. I wish I could move further from it, but thanks to the sedative I couldn't move.
"Watch out!" - I screamed, but for some reason this mad woman only giggled at my reaction.
I heard bones cracking once again, and wolf started changing into a young girl with dark blond hair and baby blue eyes. WHAT THE f**k IS GOING ON?! WHAT KIND OF s**t WAS IN THAT DART?!
"Hi I'm Molly." - said a wolf-girl standing there naked like she didn't care that a total stranger was seeing her. Doc took off her lab coat and put it on the girl covering her up.
"Thank you Molly, you can go now I think that's enough demonstrations for today."
Girl sent me a smile and a wink and went away.
"Molly is just like you and me, she's a werewolf. And every one of us has this voice inside our heads that only we can hear. It doesn't mean that we are crazy, that's just our animal side. Yours had never lived with its own kind so she's a bit insecure, but I'm here to help you two." - That Connie woman was waiting for me to process her words, but I shouldn't believe her. She's playing me for sure.
"What was in that sedative? What did you give me?" - I asked her, because I knew it was something that brought hallucinations.
"It was a herb called a wolfsbane. It weakens the wolves within us. So I should probably apologise for the pain, but I needed you to see this." - she answered and she had sincerity in her tone.
I thought for a moment and something was odd.
"I don't feel pain." - I admitted.
Her eyes grew wide at my words, and actually I started to regain the ability to move. First my toes, then my fingers, and after a while all my muscles were just the way they were before. Voice was returning as well but it was still too faint and mostly in the back of my mind. I sat and looked at my hands. I felt normal again.
"That's impossible." - Connie whispered watching me with eyes wide open.
