Standing in his office with his hands jammed deep into his pockets Furio Matrone stared down at the city below. He’d been with his father in Italy when Ercole died, torn between leaving his father’s bedside where he battled cancer in Rome or flying back to pay respects to his biological father. The day Ercole died, his adoptive father demanded he stay and take care of him and to not tell his wife yet of Ercole’s passing.
