Benson’s POV
When Ellie returned from Beta Academy earlier today, she seemed different. Like she had something on her mind. I was right and later on that night, she told us. “We all need to go back soon. A friend of mine had told Millicent where he was. She will want his power.” She takes a breath and closes her eyes. “My sister is also at Beta Academy. She will be there when it happens.” She looks around at us all. “I can’t lose her. She is all I have,” she cries.
Even though I’ve only known Ellie for a short time, she has always been cool-headed and composed. Her behavior tells me her sister is her weakness. If Millicent knows that, she will use that information to her advantage. I dread to think how volatile Ellie would become if anything happened to her sister.
