Chapter-10

1087 Words
After reading the letter from King Makilson of Elinor, Erin knew what he wanted to write in return. He knew that he could not marry Princess Anne of Elinor. He was a werewolf and werewolves are not supposed to marry a human. Werewolves can not marry a human, because humans are not at all aware of werewolves and about their world and the magic that exists beyond their world. As Erin started writing a letter, Jaden asked, "What are you planning on writing back to him?" Erin set everything down and put his chin on his palm and said "You know, how I can not let him marry his beloved daughter to me? There are two reasons for that. First, I could not put up with that girl. Dad and I used to go visit King Makilson during their festive seasons. During them, I was asked to be with Princess Anne most of my time. Believe me, once you meet her. You'd want her out of your sight. She can not think of anything but to annoy me in the worst way. Oh! I remember that one time when I was terrified of her. She locked me in my room after mid-night and started making noises of a ghost, or to say what I thought would be the voice of a ghost. I was not five years old, so I was not given my wolf form then. You know how it's like that when you can not change into your wolf for five years. I don't know what the logic is behind all this or why Luna wants us all to wait till five years to get full access to our powers. I was locked in and I started crying so badly I screamed as loudly as I could. Dad heard me and came running in, opened the door and hugged me while I cried on his shoulder. You know, he'd always been like a hero to me. I love him so much. I wish that he had been here with me at that time in my life. I need him beside me to guide me. To again hold me in his arms and tell me that he'd always be there to protect me, to hold me and also that Goddess Luna would never let anything bad happen to me. Just like he told that to me that night." Erin was not at all able to prevent his eyes from welling up. He was trying but everything in him was speaking otherwise. When Erin tried to speak, only then did he know how badly he had started crying, "I miss him so much, you know? I miss them both. Sometimes I wonder what it would have been like to have both of your parents with you every single time. How badly I crave for them to hug me or even scold me when I am wrong. I am so fed up making decisions on behalf of my kingdom all alone. I just miss my parents so badly, Jaden. You don't know how much I miss them." With that, more tears flooded in. Jaden touched his shoulder and said, "Your Majesty, I think we should go for a walk. Maybe that can help you clear your mind a bit from all this. I did not mean it that way-" Before Jaden could finish, Erin spoke up, "I know what you meant by that, I just need some time for myself to process all this or to say clear my head. To be able to write the letter properly. I think I am just going to talk to that girl who was kidnapped last night. I think that might help me to clear my head up." "Do you want me with you? Or you'd like to wander off on your own?" Jaden asked Erin. Erin told him that he would appreciate time alone. Erin left the library as quickly as he could because deep down he knew if he did not do or think about anything else to keep his mind off his lost family which he might have had, he'd end up crying even more and god knows for how long that can go. He left the room and ran to meet the girl. He was getting annoyed at calling her a girl, wolf girl, rouge girl and many more names. He made it sure in his head that now when he was going to talk to her, he'd ask for her name. He'd also ask her about all of the questions which he had regarding her. Especially what she was doing in the forest and why she is golden and white in her wolf form. He did not notice that he was standing outside her door. He looked at the guards. They bowed and opened the door for him. He entered and wondered as to why the maid had given the girl his mother's room. He did not like anyone coming there but himself. He just wanted his mother's room to be marked as hers and only her property. He just didn't want anyone to come and take the memories of her away from this room. Those are the only memories he had of his mother, of her living and loving this room. This room was her favorite room in the whole Palace. The maid probably had done it because I asked her to get her a room on my floor and my floor is filled with royal bedrooms and no guest rooms. Perhaps this could be the reason. He was looking for her but she was nowhere to be found. He thought that he might ask the guards if she had escaped or something because she was like a prisoner here and she was not at all permitted to wander in the Palace. It clicked to him that he should check the bathroom to be extra sure that she was not in the room. I am sure that she could not have been there. But he still has to be sure, right? He twisted the door knob and looked in. He saw her standing in the room. She was going somewhere but when she heard someone come in she stopped and turned. He looked her up and down. He was not so sure as to what made him notice this thing this late, that she was fully and completely naked. He could not disagree that he had not seen any girl's body as beautiful as hers.
