Chapter-12

Penelope was terrified when she realized that she had been caught sneaking out of the Palace. The most terrifying thing for her was that she was caught by King Erin of Bridgetta himself. When he released her from his grasp, he said, "Lady, I think that your maid might have told you that you were kept in your room as a captive, and that we are not at all in the position to let you go out of here, before you provide us with the information which we need. I have to say this, now that you are caught running around in search for an exit. We are going to take you and investigate you right now. Let's go to the throne room, Jaden." King Erin spoke. He grabbed her by my wrist and started taking her to the throne room. His Royal Guard, whom he called by the name of Jaden, also followed King Erin. He was walking behind her. He took the direction which was opposite from where she was running towards. After sometime walking in the same direction in the garden, she saw the double door. It was a massive door. She thought this might be the door which leads to the garden. The door was dark brown in color and had flower designs engraved on it. There were two guards who stood at both sides of the door. When they reached the doors, the guards bowed to King Erin, he nodded in response and they opened the door for them to get in. The doors led to a corridor which had so many turns, the turns were after every few doors. King Erin made his way towards the corridor and took a turn on the third turn, the left side, which led to a different corridor. If someone was as new to the Palace as Penelope was, they might think of the Palace as a maze. This corridor in which they were in had no end. King Erin took a turn for the right corridor, after what looked like forever to her. He still had her wrist in his grasp. His grasp was so tight that she wondered if he would leave a mark on her wrist or not. He was walking so quickly. That when she looked around herself she saw that they had stopped in front of the door again. This door was massive like the last one, but it had a white and black design to it. Again, there were two guards stationed to guard it. They opened the door for us to get inside. When we did, I saw that there were guards stationed everywhere. The room was so f*****g huge and long. It was so big of a room that it could easily have at least two thousand people inside it. In the room, Erin still had not left her wrist. He walked straight towards the end of the room. There Penelope saw two big chairs, placed on a raised dais. When they reached the foot of the dais, that was when Erin actually left her wrist and started walking towards one of those big chairs, which Penelope assumed to be his throne. His guard was standing behind her. When King Erin sat on those big and black-looking chairs, he spoke, "I think this is the right time for me to start interrogating you." Penelope gulped and nodded to dump his first question on her. "I think it would be appropriate to start investigating you from the very beginning. What were you doing in the Witch Forest yesterday?” he asked her. She looked around the throne room at the windows and then at the white curtains. She looked at the sky outside of the window, while remaining in her place. “Yesterday was my birthday. I am eighteen now.” she met his gaze and continued. “I live near the Witch Forest. I heard rumours of it being cursed, haunted or containing a weird type of magic. I always wanted to see it for myself, so I thought that I would sneak out of the house at night when everyone would be sound asleep. But when I got there, I found nothing, so I decided to return. That was when I noticed that someone was following me. So I started running, whoever it was started running after me. When I looked down at myself, I was in a wolf's shape. I thought that he had done his magic on me. Then he captured me by throwing a cage at me. I got captured and magicked. That is how I came here. I don’t know why or how I was turned into that wolf.” “So you are saying that you are not at all aware of the fact that you are a werewolf?” King Erin asked me with a confused look on his face.
