MATT’s POV
“Francesca, it has been decided. The Commission has agreed to this change, and the marriage is to happen in the same scheduled time as before.” – Don Amato sternly says. – “You weren’t marrying for love in the first place, so what does it change if it’s Matt instead of Liam? Don’t be rude and just accept the gift.”
She grabs the box from my hand turning to the doors and storming out the same way she came in. I excuse myself and follow her out leaving Liam and Don Amato alone.
“FRANCESCA!” I shout hoping to stop her in her tracks, but he didn’t even flinch. I speed up my steps and reach her to grab her arm to make her stop, turning her around to face me. “What’s the difference? Do you really prefer my brother to me that much?”
Maybe she did.
