A meeting with a Witch

(Jared P.O.V)

After a long 2 days journey, I reach the place where she leaves. When I reach there I see there is a small two-store very old house whose paint was coming out of its wall near a small beach. There was only one house there on the beach with a small cafe and swimsuit or another shop like that.

I walk to the house and look at the board that was hanging in front of the door ‘Alice Goshta’. The name of witch mom was talking about. I take a long breath and knock the door. After some second I heard the sound of the soft foot coming towards me.

Someone opens the door and I frown looking everywhere for someone until two small hands tag my jeans and I look down to see a five-year-old girl looking towards me with a small smile on her face.

“Hello, little one, what’s your name?” I ask her in a baby voice.

“Hi, I’m Anatasia,-” she said but cut off by a motherly voice.

“Anatasia Hope Ghosta, and who are you,” a woman in late thirties said with a huge smile asked.

“My name is Jared Luke Ellwood,” I said while stretching my hand for a handshake.

“Oh, so your Jared the son of the king and queen Elwood, It’s nice to meet you. I’m Alice Ghosta,” she said while shaking my hand.

“Pleasure is all mine,” I said with a smile.

“Please come in,” she said while opening the door wide for me to enter.

This was not what came to mind when I had thought of a place where the whiches live. I had been expecting a wizened old woman hidden beneath a mountain of shawls, candles on every surface, with embroidered tapestries and bizarre art covering the walls. This shop, however, was the absolute opposite of that. It was surprisingly modern. It is beautiful from inside were from outside the paint is coming out of the walls.

The room had been divided by a large white curtain, splitting the main room in half and hiding the kitchen, the bathroom, and the bedroom from the customer’s view.

“Please take a seat,” the women said.

I look over the house to see my surroundings, furniture was sparse but in a stylish, minimalist sort of way. Pushed against the far wall there was a long, thin table in blonde wood, cluttered with various knick-knacks and instruments. In the center of the room, a matching square table was placed with two chairs on either side, facing each other. While the thin table was piled with oddities I couldn’t name, the square table only held a single deck of cards, slightly overlarge, with delicately decorated backings.

She waited patiently for a moment as I gawked around the room. When I finally came back to Earth, blushing as I realized what a space case I was being.

“You must be thinking how my house is different from your imagination right,” she asks and I can see the amusement in her eyes. I face become chilly red from embarrassment but I nodded at her none the less.

“This is a modern era Jared and even being a which we like to adopt and live like a normal person,” she said with a chuckle making me more embarrassed.

“So you want to know about your mate?” she asks when she realizes I am not going to say anything.

“Yes,” I said.

“Follow me,” she said and led me to the table from makeshift room.

She pulled out one of the chairs for me and wordlessly invited me to sit with a wave of his hand. I smiled at him as I took my seat, she walks to the back of the table and takes a seat so I was sitting in front of her.

“So what do you want to know about your mate?” she asks.

“Everything, where she is? where can I find her? Why didn’t I have, find her till now? How did she look like? When will I able to find her? Everything,” I said getting excited to know everything about her making her chuckle and I blushed getting embraced.

“Okay, can I take your hand, please,” she asks and I nodded at her. She takes my hand in her hand and moves it around the crystal ball while saying something in a foreign language a few time than put my hands on the table. The white mist started moving around the crystal ball. She looks at it and nodded her head as she understands it. I, on the other hand, waited for her to say something.

“I see you were unable to find your mate yet because she was not born yet. She will take birth after 2 or 3 centuries. She is the daughter of the queen Elena and King Martin. She will be a human and a princess. Her mother will try to come in contact with you with a woman to talk about your mate after her marriage with king Martin. Anything more you want to know,” she asks with a huge smile on her face.

“Can you tell me how will she look like, like her hair color or the color of her eyes or something, that can help me to recognize her,” I asked getting excited.

“Let’s see, Your mate will have a birthmark on her body somewhere which look like a cherry blossom leaf just like your,” she said to him.

“what about what her, looks or anything?” he asks.

“I was unable to see her face so I can’t tell you how will she look likes, sorry,” she apologies.

“It’s okay Mrs. ghosta you have done enough, thank you so much, how much did I have to pay you?” I ask standing up from my chair.

“Oh no dear, there is no need for it, actually its an honor for me to help you and your mother,” she said chuckling.

“But still tell me, please,” I said to her giving her puppy dog eyes.

“Fine, I will accept whatever you give me,” she said with a sigh and I can’t help but grin. I take my wallet out of my jeans and give her 200 dollars.

“Jared, I can’t take it, it’s too much money,” she said shaking her head.

“You told me you will accept whatever I give you, didn’t you?” I ask.

“Yes, but-” she said but I cut her off.

“No and or buts then, you have to take it,” I said putting my wallet in my jeans pocket then put the money on her hand.

“Oh and I forgot,” she said and walk to her table then write something in the piece of paper.

“Here, it is the address of her palace,” she said giving me the piece of paper.

“Thank you, Mrs. Ghosta,” I said and walk out of her home.

“Bye,” I said waving my hands.

“Bye and give my best wishes to your mother,” she shouts at me.

“I will,” I yelled walking away.

After two or three days I reach back home to be welcomed with moms hands made special food. When I entered home I was welcome with my family group hugs.

“Go to your room and freshen up I have prepared your favorite food for you, after lunch we will talk okay,” My mom said with a huge smile on my face.

“Okay,” I said and run up to my room to freshen up.

After lunch, we all go to the living room to spend some time with each other.

“So Jared, tell me everything you got to know about your mate,” mom said to me and I tell them everything that which told me about my mate.

“So when will you planning to leave for her?” dad asked.

“After two Weeks,” I said.

“But that was way too soon,” Josh said.

“I know but I want to go and make sure everything is ready there special about her safety and I don’t think I can stay here knowing where I can find her after 2 or 3 centuries, ” I said with a sign.

“I can understand son and I’m not going to top you but please keep visiting us in between so that we know about your well being,” dad said.

“Of course dad,” I said and give them hug.

“Mom I will be going to need your help to prepare my walk-in closet as grandma has prepared for you, do you think you can do it for me,” I ask mom.

“Of course Jared, anything for my children,” mom said and I engulf her in a huge hug.

So those two weeks went doing the shopping and arranging the walk-in closet and room so that we will have everything she was going to need. My love deserves the best and she will get it.

After that, it takes me two days to pack everything I was going to need for my stay at her place. I hug them and said my goodbye to them and leave to go to my destination.
