Chapter 4 The thunder roared, the lightning flashed, and a hard, driving rain beat down on the stained glass windows. The storm cast shadows that resembled crawling bugs on the dark walls of the church. The ugly little shapes moved constantly, giving the small area the feeling of a grave. The air was humid, and the lights flickered on and off with the lightning. Something evil had entered, turning God’s holy church into the Devil’s playground.
