Selena left school that day right after she went out of the chancellor’s office.
Maddie tried to make her say what had happened but she was in a hurry to get out of there.
She didn’t want to meet Lucas at that moment.

She was more than sure she couldn’t bring Demi to their talk, let alone the drugs.
But he would definitely notice she wasn’t going to college for a week.
So she decided to avoid him. At least until she could figure out an excuse to give him.
She was going to Maddie’s house everyday to get the homework and the subjects from the classes she was missing.
“Lucas was looking for you today. I said you caught a flu and wasn’t feeling really well.” Maddie said as soon as she entered the bedroom.
