The next morning, I woke to sunlight streaming in through the curtains that covered the balcony doors. To my surprise, a pair of strong arms were still loosely wrapped around me, my head resting on cool leather. I lifted my eyes to run along Onyx’s jaw line and giggled as I saw the pool of drool that had formed on the pillow. He must have fallen asleep here with me last night. It felt weird seeing him in daylight, his hair slightly lighter than I thought it was. He looked so peaceful sleeping, but the daredevil in me was running my gaze along the leather of his mask, wondering about the man beneath.
