Chapter 5- Mr. Bowen

Ivan locked on to one of the dogs and then threw his rusty knife at it. As the wild dog fell to the ground, Ivan reached level 2, with 5 potential points. Ivan added all five points to the Agility since he knew how important the speed was to the game.  On the ground where the dog was killed, a few copper coins appeared with and some broken bones, dog skin, and hair. Many players flocked as if what they’re grabbing was some treasures. Ivan turned around and found a player get his knees down. It turned out he was collecting dog hair. Ivan rolled his eyes, "Come on, bro! Are you kidding me?” The man answered back in a sad tone, “Leave me alone!  My transfer mission is to collect dog hair. Tell me if you have a better idea.” Ivan couldn’t say anything but returned a thumb-up. He looked at the rusty knife in his hand then to the players running around to catch birds, rabbits or wild boar. After several rounds, he made up his mind, he had to figure out a way to get out of the novice village or he would be the first player starving to death.  Putting the knife in his waistband, Ivan decided to find the village chief to see if there were any other opportunities. "Hello again, sir. Would you tell me how to get out of here?” Ivan asked. It was obvious that the village chief could care less if Ivan wanted to stay or leave, "I haven’t tied your legs, have I? if you like, you can walk to the Leaf Town, but don’t say I haven’t warned you when something terrible happens. You know, I believe the wolves and tigers would be happy to see you.” Wolves? Tigers? Releasing normal tactics didn’t work with the NPC, Ivan asked in another way, "I didn’t say I have to leave, but you know how hard it is to play here without a class. Could you please tell me know how to get a class?” "Of course," the village chief seemed pretty with Ivan’s compromise. Ivan's eyes were twinkling immediately like stars were inside. "You see, I am a farmer. I will show you the secret of agriculture if you’re interested. How about this?” "Yes!!!!" The village chief laughed out loud after teasing Ivan, "All right, all right! You know what? I believe you can help Mr. Bowen. He’s struggling these days, now that I am busy with my farmland. How about you go to help him on my behalf?” Ivan asked excitedly, "Is this a mission?" The village chief affirmed, "Of course, as long as you could solve whatever Mr. Bowen is struggling with. I’m pretty you can get what you want. If I remember right, Mr. Bowen was a…anyway, a really magnificent figure.” "Magnificent? He must be a Mage! Must be! I’m gonna be another legend Mage if I can help him!" Ivan started to imagine his bright future as a Mage. System: Player Bishop triggers the mission "Commission from Village Chief". ACCEPT or NOT? Ivan selected ACCEPT. System: Commission from Village Chief “The old village chief is occupied by heavy work, so Ivan accepts the offer and will check Mr. Bowen on his behalf.” Mission Difficulty: e Mission Time Limit: None Mission Award: XP+10, COIN+30 Ivan was thrilled that he finally got a mission. Even though the mission hadn’t mentioned where Mr. Bowen was, Ivan didn’t panic. He went along the river bank and learned from others that Mr. Bowen was on the east side of the village.  When he arrived at the east of the village, Ivan found a straw shed. He politely knocked on the door but no one answered so he pushed the door opened to find that there was no one inside.  Ivan scratched his head, he was starting to wonder if he was scammed by the old chief until he heard crying coming from behind the shed. He quickly went outside and found a short old man in an ink robe holding a black pig. Ivan wasn’t sure if the creature was an actual pig or not. The only thing he could say for sure that the pig-like animal must have been important to him since the man was sobbing.  Ivan went forward, "Excuse me, are you Mr. Bowen? I am sent here by the village chief.” "Go away, " the old hair said angrily. Ivan had to ask again, "This pig..." However, the old man's face changed immediately, "You’re calling what a pig? Listen carefully! This is Flying Tiger. Flying Tiger! Are we clear now?" Ivan was speechless, but no matter if it was a pig or tiger, he had to complete the mission for his class. "My apologies, sir. How can I help this Flying Tiger?” The old man spoke with a sad tone, "This Flying Tiger has been by my side for many years. It should have been the time for him to get his wings, however, he ate Fire Fruit when I wasn’t looking. He will die shortly if I don’t find the cure…” Ivan jumped in immediately, "How can I get the cure?" "100 pounds of urine!" Mr. Bowen confirmed. "Pardon me? Urine?" Ivan was stunned. "Yeah, it’s not a problem to find urine, but 100 pounds urine? Young man, you just promised you can help me. You can get enough urine to save my Flying Tiger, right?” said Mr. Bowen sadly. Thinking about the money he owed to Leo, Ivan knew he had to accept the mission. Holding two wooden barrels he found from the deep of the shed, Ivan headed to the center of the village. "Hey! Hey! Boy! Uh, do you need to pee now? You can pee in my barrel!” Ivan tried to convince a boy who was playing the mud. "Uh…Yeah…But is this your hobby? Collecting urine?” The little boy wondered. "Hey! Watch your month! Who would have such an odd hobby? Now, come over here!” Ivan threatened. … Thanks to his hideous face and huge frame, no kid could reject his request or dared to question him again, Ivan filled the two barrels within an hour. Ivan returned with urine and then poured them into a huge cast. Mr. Bowen walked over when Ivan was done emptying the barrels, “Um? One pound short!” He said.  “You got to be kidding me!” Ivan grumbled and shook his head. He walked over to the cast and took off his pants, “I’ll give you two pounds! You’re welcome!” Mr. Bowen put Flying Tiger into the cast, and something magical happened. The tiger’s black skin turned white, his body stretched until he was double his original size and small wings appeared on his back.  "He made it! Thank you," Mr. Bowen said cheerfully. System: Congratulations! Player Bishop has completed the mission "Village Chief's Commission"! XP+100! Coin+30! System: Player Bishop has reached level 3! "Good job! The Flying Tiger screamed out as if he was responding to Ivan. What made Ivan nervous was that Mr. Bowen became more serious after he heard the Flying Tiger’s cries. He then turned back and waved his hand, drew a shine triangle in the air, and the next second, several system prompts rang without stop. System: Mr. Bowen revoked your transfer! Transfer failed! System: Congratulations! Bishop has gained the skill Lesser Heal
